Thanks once again Kyle for taking care of my buddy and his Si. I will be looking forward to seeing you guys tomorrow for his install/alignment and my tech inspection. Also, thanks for the advice and deal on the Carbotech XP10's! I can't wait to get those installed!

To be honest, I wouldn't have a problem driving even further, given the quality of work that they do.
I spent the evening over at PTP again tonight getting my new Carbotech brake pads ordered up and my tech inspection. I took my buddy over to get some crash bolts installed and an alignment done on his Civic Si and he was really happy with their work, like everyone is. His first comment to me last week was, "It is so far though.". I told him it was worth the drive. After Kyle and Forest did his alignment and went that extra mile, having him in the car, out of the car, etc, he told me "Man it was really worth the drive!".
In appreciation for PTP going that extra mile to do QUALITY work, I am going to work with Forest to create a cool looking schema on my ride. I think everyone will like it when we get done!

It was good to see you again Jose, and best of luck to Walter at the event this weekend. Be sure to let me know how it goes.
As for the Carbotech pads, they are great so I'm sure you will like them. As I said last night, when I switched from my old set of Hawk pads to the Carbotechs, I was blown away by how much of a difference they made. Definitely glad I made the change.

For brake pads, I was running the Hawk Blue 9012s in the front and Blacks in the rear. I know it is a very old compound, but still used quite regularly. Midway through one track day I swapped out the Hawks for a set of Carbotech XP10s (front) and XP8s (rear). I have also run the Hawk DTC60 pads, but I haven't run them back to back with any other pad so it isn't as easy to compare them. I did find that the DTC60s were an improvement over the Blue 9012s (in almost every way), but they still shared a few characteristics, the biggest of which was their modulation. What I found was that they would give good initial bite, but after that they did not provide linear torque control. Because of this, I was very hesitant to trust the brakes and had to brake earlier than I would like, just to ensure that the pads would be up to the task.
As I said, between sessions one day, I swapped out the Blues and Blacks for Carbotech XP10s (front) and XP8s (rear). Initial bite was very similar to both the Blues and DTC pads, but the big improvement was modulation. The torque control of the Carbotech pads was so linear and predictable that I finally felt confident enough to go as deep in a corner as I'd like without trying to predict how the brakes would respond. If I needed to brake harder, I just had to press the pedal harder. Trail braking was also much easier, especially in heavy braking corners (such as entering rattlesnake at MSRC). When you are approaching a tire wall at over 125 mph, the last thing you want to question is your braking system.
All in all, this is the experience I have had with these pads. I'm not saying the Hawk pads are no good, we actually sell more Hawk HPS pads than any other brand. I also realize that the Blue and Black compounds are dated and therefore are not the best comparison, but thats the best back to back personal experience I have had. For street compounds, I think the Hawk HPS is one of the best on the market. But, when it comes to track compounds, I am very impressed with Carbotech.
Very comprehensive response, thanks for taking the time to share your experiences. Kevin ordered me a set of the DTC70s, but I'm always looking for something that might work better. Do you have brake ducting on the car? Are the DBAs one or two-piece?
