Ptp

I just wanted to throw out there how professional and easy PTP was to deal with over the phone. The prices are phenominal, and they were very helpful with timeframes and availability. I'll be going by on Monday to pick up a new set of tires, get them mounted, and get an alignment.

Woot! Kyle, Forrest and Marc strike again. One of the reasons I will continue to recommend them, great trustworthy work and awesome prices.

Just got back from getting the tires and alignment...I am impressed. Their attention to detail was phenominal, their quality of work is top notch, and easy guys to talk to. We set me up with 255/40/17 NT05's on IX SE BBS wheels with a -2deg front -1.5 rear camber, 0 toe alingment. I ended up dropping 7lb per corner in the rear and 9lb per corner in the front. On top of that I sat in the car while it was being aligned so that my weight was in the car. My being in and out of the car changed the alignment SIGNIFCANTLY (added -.1deg left side and +.2deg right side). If you are going to get an alignment I highly suggest sitting in the car while it is done (and the more you weigh the more significant the change).

I went out to ptp on wednesday to get new tires, alignment, roll center kit and ran into major problems. First off the guys their are absolutely awesome and very professional. The problem is that my car has gone through 6 illinois winters and rust is the EVIL of all cars(especially mine). Anyway when they were putting the roll center kit on, the control arm doesn't want to ccome off. The bolt holding the control arm to the subframe is so rusted on both sides the head just snapped off inside the bushing itself. I have to give props to marc for trying for hours to cut the bolt but to no avail. Unfortunately the car is still there and now i need new control arms and lower subframe to make everything work. All i see right now when i close my eyes is $$$$$$$$$$ running away from me, not to mention no car for another week. however on the bright side i rented one of the fastest cars i could find. A 1.3 litre 81 bhp kia rio. 0-60 in 12secs. its also race spec too-light weight with no power anything

I little late to the party on this one but thanks for the kinds words everyone.

John- Hope the car is feeling good with the Whiteline kit, tires and a proper alignment. I wish we could have defeated the rust a bit easier... sometimes you have to get extreme.

The white line kit definitely fees great. The turn in is very sharp and had to get used to it again. With rust i have found that you have to be very aggressive from the get go. feels great to have the car back after 2 weeks.
