I have AT&T's 12mb/sec U-Verse internet at home and I see consistent 11mb/sec download speeds. They offer faster, but I see no reason for it considering my usage; I have no issue streaming HD movies. My phone with Verizon's 4GLTE sees download speeds of 17mb/sec sitting on my patio though I should just use my phone as a hotspot at home since I have an unlimited data package...

 

I got burned by Uverse when it first came out so... they're out. Plus AT&T sucks.

On Time Warner DOCSIS 3.0 "Wide band" now and it's decent. I'd have Fios in a heartbeat if I could.

If you want an iPhone whatever, I think that AT&T is still (unfortunately) the best choice.

Pistons by themselves, do not make power, the just displace the air drawn in, back out the exhaust ports, on combustion, nor are they a measurement of what an engine makes. The measurement of horsepower in an engine is distributed among cylinders not pistons. Where do you think the statement there's no replacement for displacement came from? and the rebuttal is the replacement is forced induction!

An engine is a vacuum pump when in sync with combustion events turn the crankshaft which creates torque. Torque is the amount of force around a given point, applied at a radius from that point. Combustion events in each cylinder creates torque which rotates the engine. Horsepower is just a calculated measurement of torque doing work over time. HP = Torque x RPM ÷ 5252

You distribute calculated power created based off the # of cylinders of an engine not the # of pistons. That is why when measuring the size of engines it is in cc or cubic inches.

Good food is good food regardless of who brings it. I don't go to Hooters or Twin Peaks because I don't care for the food. I don't go to a place because of who brings it to me. I go because I like the food. And I don't tip the waitresses at Bone Daddy's or any other establishment based on their appearance. If my drink is filled and my service is good, I tip. I don't and won't tip just because a pretty girl flirts with me. (As a matter of fact, they usually don't flirt with me because, due to the reasons I in my "rant," I don't engage with them in that manner. I treat them like any other waitress or waiter at any other place I go.)

I've been to Bone Daddy's exactly 4 times in my life.

The first time I went was with coworkers, and none of us had ever been and we were curious.

The second time was the NTEC meet, and we didn't stay because of over-crowding.

The 3rd time I went because it was literally the only place nearby open at 11 pm when I wanted dinner (I'd slept far longer than I thought I would and my options were limited.) This is the also the first time I had their ribs, and was very impressed by them.

Last night was the 4th of 4 times I've been and it was strictly for the ribs. I went in, sat by myself at a table and played with my phone while I waited for my food. Am I going to sit here and claim I didn't occasionally check out the scattered @$$ that was walking around? Of course I'm not. I looked. I'm a red-blooded American male. Of course I looked. But I didn't sit there and try to flirt with every one that walked by. I didn't play the game I knew they took the job to play. As a matter of fact, I noticed at least 3 walk by that, instead of checking out, I thought to myself "Damn...can you dress any more like a *****?"

Just because I don't "play the game," doesn't mean I can't eat good food. It also doesn't mean I'm not going to check out an @$$ or two.

Also, if you'll notice in my "rant"...you'll see that the majority of the complaint/rant was about the chicks who go to clubs without so much as bringing a wallet. Waitresses don't always fit that category while they're working. They're there to work, I'm there to eat. If they give good service, they get money. They can try to flirt with me if they want, but if my drink sits there for 20 minutes without being filled, they get a crappy tip.

 

Defensive, much? You read Playboy for the articles, go to Tilted Kilt for the burgers, and Hooters for the wings, right? You're in DFW, one of the largest metroplexes in the US, where amazing food is to be found everywhere. I don't believe for a second that the ribs are the sole reason anyone goes to Bone Daddys, because I have had their ribs, and they are no where near the best. Just decent for a chain, on par with Chili's. Whether you tip extra or not, you are still paying a premium for the view, and that's just how it works. Capitalism, baby.

Don't get me wrong, I have no issue with anyone who chooses to work or dine at places like this. Just be honest with yourself. If you take issue with how women treat the poor, powerless men who are defenseless against T&A, then don't go there, don't buy them drinks and just leave them alone, as I'm sure they'd probably prefer anyway.

Well they remind me of the Texas Roadhouse and so far, those two chains have the ribs I like the best. Perhaps I'm not a BBQ connoisseur, but I like what I like.

I've been nothing but honest. I like the food I like. I'm not going to excuse it.

I don't enjoy tearing them down. I just enjoy not playing their game. I thought that part was clear...but it's recently been brought to my attention that I don't come off nearly as clearly as I thought I did.
