You don't need the Lottery for one of those. They are only 80k, used you can find one for 50-60K, don't you and your wife work 2 full-time nursing jobs each? Hell, I can afford one of them and I am unemployed! Not going to though, I think the R-35 looks like a fat hooker, I know it runs nice but they made it just too damn ugly and big!

In my case, it was 60 in a 40 here in Arlington. The cop paced me at night, so I'm hoping a decent lawyer can get it thrown out. I wasn't even actually doing 60, that's the part that pisses me off.

I got paced doing 88 or so on DNT by a trooper. I contacted an attorney and said good luck basically. I thought that was BS too but I ended up just having to defer it.

One of mine, prior to getting my RA, was 83 mph back when the DNT was still 55. My lawyer got that one deferred. 88 in a 65/70 should be no sweat.

My ticket was deferred as well without an attorney. At one time I had 2 concurrent deferred citations and one defensive all within 9 months. You got to love how government doesn't link up the databases between counties!

Oh I do. I truly do. That's a recent situation I was in as well. Got one ticket right as my deferred time somewhere else was just starting. I asked my lawyer about the wording of the requirement of the probation and he said "Technically, you kinda did violate the terms, but since those two cities don't talk to each other, they won't know unless you tell them."

I'm definitely a bandit. I should drive a Trans Am.

I can get it deferred by myself... I need a good attorney to get this thing dismissed.

Haha, I did the same research on mine. The wording for the deferred stated, "Have you received a deferred citation within this court in the last 12 months." Nope, in a different court.

Arlington however stated, at that time, "Have you received a deferred citation within the last 12 months in the state of Texas".

burn...

I have only had 3 speeding tickets in the last 20 years, I really, really love my radar detector. I have gotten out of minimally a couple dozen tickets since owning it. Drive by the po-po flipping him the bird.

Nothing like flipping off the person who's just doing their job because they might write you a ticket for doing something stupid, dangerous, and illegal.

Don't we all feel like big men now...

I'd say flipping the bird is a bit much, especially considering the number of cops I've known, met, or been friends with. However the words "stupid and dangerous" can be a bit of a stretch as well. If merely driving at a higher rate of speed than what the little white sign says qualifies as stupid and dangerous, then I'd wager close to 100% of the people on the road fit that category at one time or another.

The only people I've seen not speed in some way are the elderly... and they have a whole host of other issues on the road.
