The biggest hardware gains are 4G and a better battery, and better, more powerful internals (in addition to a bit more toughness from the metal back).

The rest is mostly software stuff. Siri should be better, the Mac Maps...whatever they're calling it, should be much better than googlemaps....youtube would have to be downloaded, but will be tons better.

i didn't buy the 4s and was interested in the 5 since my 4 had taken a swim and is a bit screwy.

i think the change in dock connector might keep me away. if it had to be changed, micro usb should have been the only choice.

Using anything but micro USB is just greed on Apple's part; the rest of the industry has transitioned over to the standard a few years ago.

yea i agree.
it's a EU requirement of all phone manufacturers overseas. apple got around it by making a micro usb - new style dock connector but what the is the point of that if you have to carry the adapter? you might as well carry your entire charger.

Actually, Flash is a dying commodity. HTML5 is the new thing and will be taking over soon. Even Microsoft is getting away from Flash on their newer stuff.

Yep...they said long ago they refused to use Flash because Flash is an open doorway for viruses and other threats. They wouldn't compromise their customers in that fashion.

I rarely see a need for flash really. Very little, if any, sites I visit even use flash. I can't recall the last time I went to a site where something didn't load because I didn't have flash.

Are you kidding me? Did you really drink that much Kool-Aid?!

Regarding Flash, I couldn't use my phone for work without Flash, a very critical site I need is Flash-based.

I also like flash ---- BUT. Google has also dropped flash support. Adobe has dropped mobile flash support. Microsoft has never had mobile flash support. Flash is dead, and it is apple's fault. Truly though, html5 is superior.

Then you should be talking to the vendor about updating their site. I wish Flash would finish dying already.

BNSF doesn't care what I have to say; nor do I have anything to say since it works perfectly on my phone.

It's not kool-aid when it's technological fact. Some programs are more prone to security threat than others. Unless you've got some computer credentials you can show us that proves Steve Jobs...a guy whose intelligence made him far wealthier than all of us combined....I'd have to say I'll stick with what Steve said.

Oh....and there's that "little" fact that most of the 'net, has already ditched flash. (As the others have already stated.) Flash is on its way out...that is fact. That ain't kool-aid no matter how much you want it to be.

Your job doesn't provide you with computers? How unfortunate.

Shhhhhh don't tell the fandroids that. They cling so proudly to their beloved flash support. That and 1080p displays.....on a tiny lil' cell phone screen...like it matters if it's 720 or 1080 on a screen that small.
