Pointless NTEC chat thread
I have more than $400k worth of parts in stock, the majority of which are for this very platform. I would be extremely surprised if there is another company in the country that has as much inventory as we do, let alone more which is what you're suggesting. Not only that, but if I had to ship a hood via freight shipping to myself first and then to the end user, how do you think that would affect the pricing we're able to offer?
I'm very sorry that we've found ourselves in this situation, as I would like nothing more than to resolve this for you. But you now know what our cost is for this item, which means you know exactly how much (or how little) we made on this particular item. For you to ask me to replace the item at my expense when I never even touched it just dumbfounds me. The shipping carrier damaged your hood, that is who you should be upset with. I'm working on getting a copy of the bill of lading that was signed and from there we can determine if we have any further recourse with the shipping carrier, or if you should be directing your anger towards whomever it was that signed for this freight delivery without verifying that the contents were not damaged.

yes i will head right home and yell at my sister for this...
and then i will go right back to blaming the shipper
and then i will call siebon and yell at them
and then i will call you guys again and be mad at you...
either way this does not get me the part or my money...
you can tout how great your company is all you want.
until you refund my money or have a replacement part sent to me i will continue to pursue this issue.
so i ask again that YOU (MAP) make it right and replace the part or refund my money.
with $400K in parts lying around my $600 should not even be a concern for you.

I had a similar issue with Seibon, Chris Carey... just my two cents don't carry that trash anymore. Too many people complain about their products and if they wont take care of a customer when an issue like this arises then dump them fast. If you recall it took 2 months to get my Seibon crap refunded. Not your fault and I never was upset with you guys.
I understand Chris' point of view as well. Its not his fault at all. Work with Chris not against him to get Seibon to step up and get this made right. Seibon is cheap Chinese made crap and like the company they use cheap shipping. They could have used DHL, or FEDEX even has a freight division that ships large items. Yes its more expensive but not worth this headache.
Please tell me you used an AMEX card? if so you can even get AMEX involved to help work with Seibon and the freight company.
If Seibon nor the freight company wont budge? I bet Chris has a credit account with Seibon and he can use a little bit of strong arm tactics to get them to take care of this.
Work together guys, butting heads wont get your part fixed.

the only reason there is even a slight head butt is because i have waited 23 days to even get this answer... something that should have taken a couple phone calls and maybe 2 days to clear up...
in the beginning i was very cordial with MAP and seibon and even the shipping company... the shipping company told me to call seibon... seibon told me to call MAP... map told me to submit pictures and a form on their site... all of this was done in 30 minutes to an hour after arrival of the part.... and then i wait... and wait... and wait... so now i don't care if it was MAP or shipping or seibon...
i simply want my part or my money...
i chose the NTEC thread to ***** about this since these are the guys i know, this is the POINTLESS thread (which i knew this conversation would be) and these are the guys who know me ( the double Bronze Star recipient who served his country for 20 years to make sure MAP, seibon, and PILOT shipping have the right to own a business and the freedom to do the right thing or screw a customer over, whichever they please) .....
and also to make sure i have the freedom to talk about the experience....
(did anyone else hear the star spangled banner in the background as i typed that???)

In other thoughts...
Took the Evo out today for a quick trip to Genghis Grill. I haven't driven it in 6-7 days. Had to show up a V6 Mustang. It's a waste of gas, but great to see the reaction. o2 dump FTW.

Judging from what I saw on the Mustang boards back when I was considering getting one....the V6 guys are well aware they can't match up to an Evo. Some are despondent about it....others are like "eh...whatever."
