nope no p0300 code. Its odd as i never changed a setting on my EBC since al's tune and now it just randomly started this.

thats strange steve, did u check all ur vacum lines and such? , sounds like the wastegate gets stuck wideopen then recovers some and holds boost, possibly problem with the selenoid valve? or actuator?

 

Do you have a mbc you could throw in and set? I would try that first just to make sure your ebc is working properly, if the mbc still does the same then you know your ebc is working ok and can move onto the next thing to check. But the obvious is the boost controller.....

 

check all ur vacumm lines this was my problem and would only allow me to boost 2 pounds i tightened everything and now im running right

 

Yeah, i am going to check all vaccum lines this weekend. Its very odd as even when i set my boost down low (12psi) my ebc sets off the warning. I guess i'm building boost really quick. Hmm, thanks for the help boys. If anyone else has had similiar problems, please chime in.

I would also concur on the vacum lines but check easier stuff first.

Could it be the BOV is not working properly and getting stuck?

 

Thats what i have been thinking. When i am slowly accelerating its fine. But the second i mash the throttle the problem occurs.

bov shouldnt really effect you boostin unless u hear it open under boost, its will sound like a supercharger like a wizzing sound if its stuck open

 

Do a proper boost leak test, that will give you your answer.....I bet you have a leak from what you just described.
