Mine are 18" X 9" with a 255 35 18 no rubbing

Forgot 30 offset....offset does matter

I wasn't going with another ACT and this was the cheapest route. I can't afford an twin. It did not come with the flywheel. I already just had a brand new one installed and I'm assuming it's 100% considering the car had hardly been driven at all. My current clutch could be 100% fine, who knows. If it's cool, I'll sell it. If it's F'd, then I'll see what ACT will do for me.

if you do end up having the fidanza installed, i would be curious to see how that is for you.

not that i think it would be bad, fidanza makes good stuff, i've just never known anyone with one of their clutches in an evo, and am interested in how it drives and feels.

i am pretty certain i will need a new clutch relatively soon, so i am starting to think about it.

hey brian, when you make your stout, is it carbonated or is it flat like guinness?

Depends...usually carbonated, but dark beer carbonate a bit differently the foam tends to build up on the top rather than through the beer...when you make home brew you carbonate naturally..which means rather than adding CO2 by tank..you add sugar water to the beer once it is done fermenting....since there is still active yeast in the beer, the yeast consumers the sugar which in turn produces CO2. So also , the amount of carbonation can be controlled by the amount of sugar added before bottling

hey guys, i was a bit bored yesterday so i went to the zoo to play with the camera.

most of these shots are nothing too interesting. i was trying to play with the manual settings on my camera, but couldn't really figure it out. that is why there are about half a dozen pictures of waterfalls. haha.

i was trying to go with a long shutter exsposure to get almost a time lapse type of look to the pictures. it worked ok.

what i was really impressed with was the close ups of some of the flowers. for being a point and shoot, it gets some very good detail shots if i have the right lighting.

Do you guys see any adverse affects to running a 17X9" wheel with a 255/40/17 tire? I'm just concerned about the "40" and that it isn't "45". Obiously, the car would be a bit lower, the sidewall would be a bit less (better response/less flex), probably makes it a bit lighter too. The main concern I have is that the speedometer would be off and that the wheel gap would increase.

What do you guys think? Would you recommend this size for better traction/handling? Thanks.

Your speedo would be under like 1 mph with a 255/40 - so at 60 you would be at 59, so its 100% in my book since above 80 the speedo isn't accurate at all.

here is a nice tool to see

Im planning on getting 255/40 RT-615's in the near future - just waiting till that money tree I planted starts growing

Well, thats good to hear - cool little calculator. I guess I'd have about .4 in more wheel gap, but thats not something that can't be fixed once I get coilovers.

it would be .3" (roughly 5/16") according to that calculator and your not going to ever really notice that
