Jabba, your car is one of the nicest examples of an 03 as you can get! Now my car on the other hand. After my new carbon fiber roof. lol. I'll only be able to sell it as a race car. I better break some dam records to make the car worth something!

It's real hard to compare a daily driven evo to one that's just for recreation. I'm sure the other guys on the opposite end will agree with me. If you drive your car, you'll get stone chips, dents, scratches, and maybe you'll be lucky like I was and have an 85 year old woman ruin the front bumper and hood! Now I do my absolute best to keep my car in tip top condition; while driving it to work everyday lugging around a tool bag, circuit tracer, hammerdrill, and electrical supplies. It's just too hard to keep your car in as good of shape as Mike's or Dan's. Maybe one day I'll be able to afford a daily driver.

Brian, I couldn't agree with you more! If I drove my evo everyday it would look like poop by now! I have to tell ya, all your hard work shows, your car always looks awesome!

You will like it. I just flashed my sons Subaru WRX, and I am trying to get my car flashed...but it seems that maybe my ECU is locked possibly?

The EVOSCAN software is very cool....it logs alot of stuff....and cool gauges.

gt420hp, you used to have the silver evo with the sick setup right? I guess you traded it for a new one? Or am I thinking of somebody else's?

Yep..I had the silver EVO with the 272's, Tilton clutch, Vishnu chip, etc. I sold the car last year...went about 5 months w/o an EVO then found this 06 MR in Columbus OH and pick it up.

i haven't noticed any yet, but i haven't looked real carefully at my logs. i think i am gonna go take another quick spin with it in a minute here, then go over all the logs i have.

my boost seems to read strangely though. at the peak for a 3 - 4 gear at WOT on an on ramp today it was telling me i was hitting around 42 psi.

i'm almost positive i am reading it wrong or something though, because i was watching my boost gauge too and it was behaving normally.

and yeah gt420, i like it alot. i am leery about touching anything in my ecu, but it is certainly cool to see what everything is doing.

Mondo,

That would be atmospheric plus the boost your running. Though that still seems high. 42psi - 14.7 would be like 27.3 psi. Is that what your running?

no, i am still on the stock boost levels, although the temptation is very high to raise it up a little. haha.

that makes alot more sense that is atmospheric plus boost. that would explain why when i am in vacum on my gauge my boost on the logger is still reading around the mid to high single digit numbers.

did you get a jdm map sensor because other than that you cant log boost via evoscan.....?

I think he is looking at boost (mdp) which is manifold differential pressure sensor. I thought it actually read boost plus atmospheric pressure but it doesn't from what I just researched. Not sure where it gets the numbers it displays but mine
read around 34 and I run about 19psi right now which is why I thought it read
boost plus atmospheric, sorry for the bad info.
