Wow they move pretty good.....Now u need to get a 100 shot and some good grippy tires in the rear and you will run some d*mn good times . The auto im sure makes it a lot easier to launch and be consistant, you would be tough man to beat in a bracket race competition

Thats why i hate prp, they are awful with cleanups and delays.....If you guys ever want to make a trip to Beaver Springs for a test and tune day or friday night racing you will get 4 times as many runs without any hassles. The day i was there a 9 sec. camaro lost it and rolled and they had it cleaned up faster than prp can clean up a broken down car. Its about a 3.5 hr drive there, the test and tunes are from like 10am-4pm and it costs $35.00 for the day.

Just throwing it out there

Yeah Nitrous was supposed to be on the list for the spring, but as anyone that knows me has already said - it won't be that long

I'd make the trip some time - I'd like to get more than 3 runs in.

Then i will borrow dans manifold from dave and get it ported by buschur the 8th of august because I want one done to pick up on the weekend of the 18th since i will be there for the shootout. I was going to take daves manifold to get ported because i didnt think it was a true port job but now that its confirmed I cant use it to send out.

When i install it i will give dave my stocker that he can get ported then give dan back his stock manifold and seems like everyone gets what they want?

thats my take on the situation, sounds more complicated than it is

I'm fine with that if everyone else is. It's up to Dave. I have Dan's manifold in my possesion now. That's all I was looking for was the porting, no jet coating. And the fact that it's already tapped is a bonus! You'd have to act quick Travis because I think the wait time for Buschur is at least a few weeks. PM me what you guys decide. But, I myself also have to act quick to get this done.

We are all good on this.....Me and Dave talked today and were both cool. Yeah i talked to Nick he needs it a week before the shootout to have it done. Im not getting coated either just a port job.

Im down to the last few bolt-on mods i can do without getting cams since there is still no good evidence of what cams do on the IX's yet.

I don't know Travis, the S1's are supposed to be extremely good on the IX's. And with the HKS 272's out, I definately think there's a gain. Probably not 30 hp like on an VIII, but it's probably worth it. Worth $800.00+-??? I'm not sure... Check out some of CBRD's threads. He definately see's improvements in the S1's. The Cossie's are supposed to be great too.

I talked to Dave by PM. Hopefully we can all meet up or something on Saturday or Sunday. I have a ton of school work to do for tomorrow. And I have to work.

Saturday or Sunday morning/afternoon works for me, i will be going golfing one of those days but I can work around that.....im sure we can figure something out?

Yeah I like the GSC cams but im just not sold on what the gains could be and as you said if its worth the price? Im def. looking forward to see how the HKS do but it will be a while until some numbers come back which is fine because im in no hurry to do cams! Plus BC is to release a mivec cam and with the price on his cams for the viii and if they get around the same power as gsc & cosi's and are priced good i may go that route? Plus I will install my self with the assistance of my friend if i have questions, so that saves some money with getting cams.

Cams will be last though, I still have to build my charge pipes and get a front mount yet, which will be next springs project. Im going all custom built piping with a precision core.

colin, nice meeting you and your fiancee tonight, enjoy the tires.

hope to see you around some local meets soon

oh, if anyone else is interested, i still have two good OEM advans around i would like to sell. they are the one's that came off the rear of my VIII. they had about 6000 miles on them, never raced on, and still have some very good tread depth.

i still have the front two tires from that set as well, but they are cupped pretty bad and i don't think they would be very useful.

if anyone is interested, i will let them go pretty cheap. i am sick of staring at them in the basement.
