I'm getting one ported. The funny thing is, I bought a painted red one two years ago for a spare in case something like this happened. I don't remember who I sold it to or where it went. I most likely gave it away. Dumb move I know. Luckily Dan has one for me. Okay, so the question of the day.

Is Dave's manifold Ported???? Dave originally said yes it was, then later said no it wasn't. What is it Dave? If it is ported, then I'll just swap you for Dan's and that's that. Slowboy said they'd take a week for porting. Buschur, I haven't spoke with yet. But, I need to get everything done by the 11th. So I'm cutting it extremely close. Unless I get it out by Friday, I doubt I'll have it in time.

Jeremy, I relapsed on my car modding addiction.

I went to PRP tonight. My first time ever on a dragstrip.

SICK!!!

Me and my car. I'm on the phone

[/CENTER]

So what did I run?

1st RUN
Reaction Time = .291
60 Foot = 1.853
1/8 Mile = 8.438 @ 77.73mph
1/4 Mile = 13.488 @ 99.33
NOTE: Missed 4th gear!

2nd RUN
Reaction Time = .112
60 Foot = 1.751
1/8 Mile = 8.544 @ 78.18mph
1/4 Mile = 13.420 @ 102.17
NOTE: Missed 3rd gear!

So I am definitely going back asap because if I didn't miss gears both times, I would have definitely ran a decent 12 second quarter mile.

Oh well, we'll have to see next time!! ergh

From what I heard because I enquired about this manifold some time ago that it was done by slowboy and it was just a simple line of sight port job but wasnt hogged out....which might be what slowboy does anyway and that is what they call there port job?

So in that sense it is "ported"......only reason i didnt want it is because I want one done by buschur not slowboy. So daves manifold is probably what you would get back if you sent one to them most likely but how slowboys porting compares to buschurs I have no idea?

I saw your one run - you did well! Launching is the hard part and you did that very well, so you'll get there.

Thanks Guys. That pretty well sums up what I know about the manifold I have. I have no intentions of using the thing any time in the near future since I have decided if the manifold is coming off a better turbo is going back on and that will likely happen a long long time from now or never.

So if we want to trade these things around I'm happy to help.

Well then there we have it......confirmation that it is indeed ported.

So if thegame takes daves already ported manifold and gives him dans in exchange.

Then i will borrow dans manifold from dave and get it ported by buschur the 8th of august because I want one done to pick up on the weekend of the 18th since i will be there for the shootout. I was going to take daves manifold to get ported because i didnt think it was a true port job but now that its confirmed I cant use it to send out.

When i install it i will give dave my stocker that he can get ported then give dan back his stock manifold and seems like everyone gets what they want?

thats my take on the situation, sounds more complicated than it is

Thanks...for 4200 lbs. it went pretty good for stock...

1st - 13.54 w/ 2.00 60' @ 105.x
2nd - 13.31 w/ 2.00 60' @ 105.x
3rd - 13.27 w/ 2.00 60' @ 105.6

then people started breaking down on the track and I didn't get any more runs. I waited 2 1/2 hours to try to get one more run and then finally just left.
