I had it off for a while and did eventually put it back on. I think it increases airflow over the brakes as they were squekier with the splash gaurd off and they get noisy when hot.

 

Maybe I should put it back on then... That's a good point Jeremy, I know exactly what you mean. I actually already had to replace my passenger wheel well liner whenever I had a dumb-*** attack and forgot to secure the liner to the bumper and splash gaurd. It can be done though without taking the wheels off.

 

Another thing I want is a stock silver VIII front lip. Mine got ruined. I don't really like the Varis lip I have on there now. If anyone has one to get rid of, please let me know.

 

Well as long as we are all on the same page. Im just a little worried because my front lip only has 3inch clearance from the ground and i dont have my stock wheels up at school. Snow is always fun though

 

Yeah man I hear ya. A guy on here named Steelcityevo had the same lip as you and same springs. I think he might have broken his. I'm not lowered, but my lip sticks out like 4 inches, so I'm doomed either way.

 

Well the wifey primarily drives it but , I think it handles real well , and it has decent power . Still tryin to figure how I can cram a 4G63 into it. I have an extra with 3 good cylinders

 

Which is why I think i'm gonna go the route of coilovers instead of springs.

Buschur makes a nice undertray for the VIII now......uses less hardware so thats always an option if you hate the stocker. Plus its more rigid and goes back on the car further.


The new wheels are sitting at my office waiting for the morning when i get them put on....thanks again Rob. Plus my IX wheels sold already, didn't take anytime at all!


Talk about a messed up MR, haha......oh well
