He is representing the factor not the dealership.....Maybe one day you will need something and I will be able to sway your opinion......I am always out to help anyone...paying or not.....
All I'm saying is that the people who get service work done at the dealerships are more prone to get that extra "push" from employees of the dealer to try and sway the rep one way or another....but I agree in the end it is the reps decision.

Its nothing against you mike, from what I hear your a good guy....i have had some bad experiences dealing with dealerships and I guess im naturally negative towards them, haha. Lets hope I don't need anything......but you will be the first I come to just to see if you can sway my opinion

Tell me about it dude. I just pray it doesnt happen to me because I can't really afford repairs at the moment. My second gear is such a biatch. I hate it. I can never seem to get it into gear quickly. Everytime I shift I think of when mike showed me one of the blown MR trannies and how bad that second gear synchro gets... .

By the way, I spotted a black VIII in southside in the parking lot across from fatheads. Looked like it had an exhaust and the stock wheels.

You won't find a better mechanic and all around great guy than Mike from Baierl Mitsubishi. Mike and the service group did everything they could to get my repair work done on my six speed. Fact of the matter, if you drive like an old grandma, then the six speed will last. But if you drive the EVO the way she wants to be driven...you will be pulling out that six and replacing it with something better.

I am extremely happy with the shep 5 speed tranny. Works like a champ.

** more kudo's for Mike....but I took my son's 2004 Subaru WRX to have the engine basically replaced....Mike knows more about the Subaru's I think than the Subaru dealership....

Well putting your job on the line is a bold move and I do respect that to try and help out customers get warranty work - especially due to the weak sauce 6 speeds......If I have an issue that I cant figure out or the help of my resources (danl), you will be the first I come to.

Maybe sometime this spring I can swing by and BS some....I don't live far away - 5 miles or so? Well its just a stock turbo car so its not all that impressive but I do all the mechanical work myself (with the usual help of my friend) and tune it myself...It seems to work pretty good, I need to get my fuel pump in and re-tune for the new mods I installed because I haven't even seen the full potential of the car yet due to my fueling issue (not enough ).

at the last meet you all mentioned that the black lip on my car was not stock....upon closer examination last night, the previos owner must have hit something which broke it. He spray painted the whole thing black and tried to glue it where the holes were broke to connect it to the bumper

Which is why i didnt ask to see what it looked like . It is night and day difference from what it was before it was replaced. The first to second still requires the utmost concentraition and timing, but all the rest are like butter. And i take solice that in warmer weather such as earlier this week, that first to second is much easier. Ive read that bushings help but im a little skeptical....

Edit: Being so far from wexford, i really hate driving up there, but Baierls service and Mikes expertise make it worth the drive for me. Took me almost 2 1/2 hours to get to greensburg when i picked the car up - we had a snow storm that evening and the TP was partially covered from Cranberry to Allegheny Valley.
