local Pittsburgh Meet
Nice to meet you too man, your car runs great! Do you want me to extend this to the local mustang guys, just let me know. Either way - I'll either come along with Steve & film, or bring my car if I'm welcome to. I'm uploading the video onto youtube now
Just my guess - I don't have a damn clue as to how your cars ECU works, but my guess would be that if its supposed to be getting 18psi and delivers the fuel for it, then it would be too much fuel for the lower psi (?). I'll put words in his mouth and say he probably uses more throttle % during regular driving with the crap tune job than a good tune job & that would lower the mileage too. Again, just speculation. I wouldn't put it past a boost leak though. I'm really out of my element with these cars
Any way to diagnose if it has a boost leak or not?

There are a lot of misconceptions with tunes because most dont really understand how it works and whats going on......and its to much to type
if you ever want to see how it all works let me know - I am always happy to get into discussions with this stuff, easier to explain verbally while looking at an actual map then typing it all out. Also I have been working on my part throttle areas of my car for a while now and I am getting like 23-24 mpg in the city and 26-27 on the highway. I have done a few tricks as well that helps with fuel mileage. If he is going into boost at parth throttle on stock settings for open/closed loop then yes he starts dumping fuel if its an overly rich tune (which im sure it is from the tuner mentioned). I have mine setup that even at 5 psi i stay in closed loop so I still stay at 14.7
Yes you can check for boost leaks its rather easy and all the parts to do it can be purchased at lowes or home depot - I do it about every 5k miles or so on my car and every time I do i find new ones that weren't there previously. They are a big time power killer in a turbo car and ultimately are the cause of most problems people have. On a turbo car if there is some issue with the car running funny the first thing I ask is - did you boost leak test the car?
If he hasnt checked for leaks then i would bet a decent chunk of change that he has a leak if not leak's'. He would also benefit from a good tune, I dont much care for that tuner mentioned (I dont agree with his ways of tuning) - but thats my opinion and not even worth getting into an argument.

picked up my daughter tonight and she did the worse thing ever. Something I preach about at every parking lot we go to. Door mother f-ing, mother f-ing, mother f-ing, door mother f-ing door dings!!!!:
She used her foot to opens my mother's door into my pass side rear door!!!! I bit my tongue the whole way home, telling myself it's just a ding, just a car, no big deal...All she did was keep saying she was sorry and I bet she is, now!
I thought I taught my kids better than that by parking in outer Mongolia at every parking lot and here them ***** about how far and why didn't we park closer. So I explain to them every time about the asshats who ding other peoples cars.
I've heard of it actually called hit and run and you can get busted for it.
Back on topic. door dings suck and this one is more of a dent then a ding and with the pvgp coming up and my new bumper not showing up yet. Just one more panel to fix

Paul as sad as is it to say. I'll never be able to yell at the kids for that. My father had a Detomoso Pantera as i was growing up. Well lets just say i probably only rode in the car like 4 times. I also put some nice scratches down the side getting the bikes in and out of the garage. And this was a covered car. Lets just say, i'm sooo sorry to my father that he sold it and became and parent. If i understood the value of that car at the time im not sure id let myself live.
I wish I could've seen this Pantera, I love the older sports cars..esp italian and german ones
I am going to wait till I at least get the dyno sheet back to make any predictions on here. I am really excited to see what the new setup is gonna do, I have a good idea about where it is gonna be but for now I am keeping them to myself. I'll keep everyone posted.

I think if we are we should probably wait and make the decision on Friday. I think it is still too far out to make an accurate prediction on the weather. There is only one major weather pattern in the middle of the country, but its still hard to tell when it will get here or if another one will show up. If I were to guess, i'd say it would pass before Saturday (probably Friday). Although, I'm not exactly Joe Denardo here....

The 35r I got is the HTA 35r. It spools way faster than the Garrett 35r. The lag is certainly there as compared to stock but full boost comes around 3800 which is not bad. I have not really wound it up yet because it isn't tuned or broken in yet. I'll be able to give a full review in about a week or two.
