local Pittsburgh Meet
Yep, thats certainly my next plan of action. Unfortunately, 2 grand installed is not in the budget at the moment.
Steve if I may , share a little advice that I have found to work for me and were fairly consistent.
In all honesty it is just a seat of the pants kind of thing in the end you either can feel it or you cant.
But I would forget about the 3k rpm attempt , it will result in nothing but a BOG.
I dont know where your 2-step is but use it. Bounce it off that beotch.
Come out of the clutch quick and smooth with LOTS of throttle. Do not just sidestep the clutch , thats when you will break stuff for sure.
But a nice quick full release and if your on the throttle hard and good and above your peak TQ. you should be able to cut your 60' sideways
Another tactic some can use that does work is to slightly release the clutch to take up the "slack" in the tranny to avoid shockloading it. You can use this technique along with using the E-Brake to keep you staged without tripping the lights.
Me personally thats just too much going on. I like to get her staged , get my revs up and just feel it
Hope it helps a little. I know I am no ace driver or nothing but I have done my fair share of drag racing in the Evo

I think if we are we should probably wait and make the decision on Friday. I think it is still too far out to make an accurate prediction on the weather. There is only one major weather pattern in the middle of the country, but its still hard to tell when it will get here or if another one will show up. If I were to guess, i'd say it would pass before Saturday (probably Friday). Although, I'm not exactly Joe Denardo here....
I think I got ya beat there Dave - I went from a burnt stocker to an ACT to a Fidanza 3.2 to a X stocker in the course of a single month! Image what I had to go through! I will say that the Fidanza was the best of them all thus far. IMO.
right now the weather is looking just as bad as two weeks ago, so we may be scrubbing the whole idea for now.
i will send out some PM's on friday if anything changes, but unless the weather takes a drastic turn for the better, i think mother nature has robbed us again.
I am sure you can get a car down the 1/4 quickly as well. That FWD is a whole nother beast to deal with when puttin the power down to the wrong wheel drive

Oh boy... ***slams head on desk***
Going to the track is so much fun. I have no idea how the hell you guys rip off 1.5-7 60 foots.
Going back up in 2 weeks if anyone wants to make a meet out of it.
Steve
