Travis, check out the picture on this thread:

It looks like our cars do have some kind of RGB connector or something. That actually looks like a great option. My only concern is this: With flashing, the tuner logs the car and checks the car. With this chip, it's a gamble. Especially with not being able to log anything yet. I just don't see how this could be a better solution than a flash. If it proves to be remotely close and safe, it's a great option. Especially if it can be end user adjustable. Or updated for new mods, etc...

yes, there is a reason for that. I decided not to go with it because according to a lot of the big dogs they claim its way overkill and actually does no perform well unless you have a turbo in the size of 40/42R

Size normally matters in my book, but i am testing a little something for someone

other than that, i think we are paired up evenly.

Ask ryan if he wants to sell me his cage lol and or his harnesess!! i am actively looking for that stuff now. Ps. I cant fit my fat *** in them carbon seats lol

That is interesting......

I'm not real into making changes without a logger but I do believe evoscan is right around the corner - may want to start checking his website for updates or email him?

If the chip works then it works....in the end it will be cheaper and more tuner friendly to have the full flash because all the nice benefits we have you will have (eventually im sure), and they wont be offered through that chip - least not cheaply or easily. I know they have found the fuel, timing, and boost maps on the X through ecuflash and I thought the cable was done? not 100% sure though - not something I check everyday.

I see it as a great money maker - but it will never be better due to the lack of adjustability from the user end and for someone like me that is what matters the most...

While I've always been partial towards the flash, Scott claims the chip has higher resolution (up to 100 rpm increments or around there) than the flash. Still, like you said, if it can't be adjusted then it's useless. And I'd still have to get help to tune it even if it was. And I doubt that you tune the chip in a similar manner to Ecuflash.

Still, it looked like a good option for a quick and easy "103 hp gain" But not for someone who plans on doing a lot of bolt ons.

...And that of course wouldn't be me because my car is stock! is watching!

i know i don't post on here too much and im off topic, but i need to vent because im so disgusted right now. bought blitz blm gauges from vividracing (boost, egt, and oil pressure). guy i ordered from on the phone assured me they would have them in stock the following day so i assumed i would have them in a couple days. 3 weeks later i finally got the package which was yesterday. go to install the boost gauge first because i already had a vac line set up from my previous gauge and the gauge reads boost just fine, but the ****ing gauge itself won't light up. keep in mind i have an older friend who owns a garage and my buddy who works in automotive electronics for a living helping me.

we tested the wires and we are getting juice all the way up into the male piece that attaches to the gauge so its obviously the gauge itself. called vivid and they were pretty dismissive and just said they would pass it on to a superior. didnt get a call back today and im guessing i gotta wait another month to get this resolved.

needless to say i guess im gonna be driving around with an empty gauge pod for a while which sucks because im like ocd about my ride. oh well.... any suggestions?

I never dealt with vivid before , so cant suggest nothing on that matter.

sucks cause I have a nice set of greddy electronic peak / hold gauges I would have sold you for a killer price. boost/egt/fuel pressure. along with a triple pod.

good luck with it

I will have an Autopower roll bar for sale here in about 2 weeks if anyone is interested? It is a great addition to any of these wicked fast evo's out there.
