Moved to Jersey, Few questions.

I Just moved to Noth Bergen. I have seen a few Evo's out on the road so I am hoping there are some local members on here.

1. Inspection. I have heard that some places have rollers and will do a full emissions check and some will just do the test at idle, or are we excempt for a certain number of years?

2. Autocrossing. Any other local clubs that autocross besides Poughkeepsie Car Club and Porsche Club of Northern New Jersey?

3. Car Wash. Anyone local know of a do-it-yourself car wash in the area? I can't seem to find one.

4. Alignment. Looking for a good shop to do a custom setting alignment for racing and to get some tires swapped without scratching the hell out of my rims. I heard there is some place called Eurosport or something but I can't seem to find them on the net.

Any help is much appreciated.

There is a perfromance alignment shop in LODI...i'll post back with more info.. They do corner balancing and everything.

In terms of Auto-x there is a sunday BMW CCA of NJ club

Euro-tire in Fairfield will do everything you need relating to tires and alignment...they have a Hunter machine and specialize in custom alignment.

Car wash in bergen, just do a scouting trip.

Autocross in NJ: www.autox4u.com

NASA, M-Club, NNJRSCCA, SJRSCCA, Porsche Club and BMWCCA all do autocrosses locally. There are tons of events every season, and every weekend.

If you're looking for performance work/mods, Turbo Trix in Edison is the place to go. I used to live there and TT is the only shop that I could trust to work on my Evo. Euro tire is very expensive for alignment and other wheel/tire issues just go to Rayco on rt 46, Sean is a very nice guy. Good luck and enjoy living in NJ.....for autoxing, check out NASA No. NJ they run in the Meadowlands (Secaucus).
