i bought a mirage the other day and it has stickers that expired last year, i can't find a shop near by ( or gas station or anything ) that does state inspections, so i'll have to wait. i also need an oil change, any idea on how long it will be? it will run me about 50 bucks for an inspection right?

 

Mine was like $80 for inspection and emissions and it took about 1 hour. If you dont have emissions testing in your county, you are lucky.

 

Yes, expect over an hour, especially if they find something wrong w/ your car. They look over the whole vehicle.

My father owns his shop and he makes people drop it off in the morning and pick up later in the afternoon. Good luck finding it for $50!

in WA it cost 15 bucks and took 5 seconds, they just plugged a thing into your ODBII and you were set

 

Its going to cost more around $65, and since the car is obd=II it wont take long if the car passes.

 

I think everyone is confused: State Inspection OR Emmisions.

He said state inspection.

 

Cost me $22.80. Took about 10 minutes.

He put it up on the lift, checked the tread depth, made sure lugnuts were tight, checked drive train and put the sticker on. No emissions in Wayne Co.

 

state inspection is 50$ for the sticker. they plug in the diagonistics port to check for ****. then they do the fuel cap pressure check. 1 hour at most. i got a shop in NE philly that i used to goto when i was living in philly last year.

 

Inspection takes about #20-30mins. Emmissions for a 1996 and up car will have a OBD2 TEST DONE. takes about #10 mins. Both state inspection/emmission's stickers should run about $65-$80.00.depending on the whereabouts.

Drive less than #5000 miles in a 365 day period than your EXEMPT from the emmission's test. Than the fee's is normally split in half. $24.95. Rather than $49.95 for the full run.
