WE WILL SEE but I am hoping they are telling the truth.
Good luck I was rear ended by a fellow Allstate holder - my rates did not go up immediately; however, a little whole later, it came to bite me in the a$$.

Allstate in DE is HORRIBLE! Just switched to Liberty Mutual - close to 45% reduction in price; HUGE savings. Probably not the case in PA

I will jump ship so fast their heads spin if they do this to me. I currently insure 4 cars on my policy.. A rate increase is NOT an option.

I always paid a little too much - especially having 3 cars, and homeowners. Then our rates went up a bit without a phone call . Finally we move 7 miles away with a garage and security system and they go up $700/year with, again, no notice

Bump for first prerun tomorrow. I am excited to get this show on the road.. It will be here before you know it..!

Also.. I went to Warminster and it was friggin freezing. I have been taking it easy on my car until I get it tuned due to it overboosting so not only was I cold but I did not want to bounce of the limiter in the cold and hurt anything.. None of the Evo guys were around their cars so I could not even introduce myself

I was planning on going to the Warminster event but, sadly my grandfather passed away the week prior so I was attending his funeral that Saturday.

I heard the event registration was insane I also heard about the weather

I am racing at Ripken tomorrow and then again at Warrington on April 23rd so hopefully I will see you there

Let us know how the pre-run goes tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather Adam.

Yes registration was crazy. I stood in line 20 minutes before I made my decision if that tells you anything. I was miserable at that point..

Every weekend for the next 4 have one day dedicated getting this driving route down so pretty much, April is shot. Then May 5 is www.tristatetuner.com 125 run, May 13th is EvoM 125 Run, and then the 18th I leave for NC < www.tailofthedragon.com > to drive the best road on the east coast. Its
318 curves in 11 miles!!!

Will let you know how the first pass goes tomorrow and will post some pictures.
Most of tomorrow is feeling out the roads I chose and making sure they are actually paved since I used DeLorme and you never know what you will get til you get there..

Cloud IX, I'm living 15 mins away from Shamokin at the moment. If you're coming up into that area, let me know. Maybe we can meet up.

Hey.. I am bringing my boring but faithful Ford ZX2 for the prerun tomorrow. It will be tons of cursing, turning around and stopping while reworking the route etc.. I will be more then happy to hit you up after a couple more preruns and you can see what the run is all about.. If you know of any great roads you your way.. send me a PM and I will see if I can squeeze them into the route......

I did RT125 today between Tremont and Shamokin (I was bored and needed to get out of the house, plus I needed to break my car in some more). Other than that one short stretch where the road needs some major repaving (either just before or after Hegins, can't remember), what a great drive. I highly highly recommend it, especially for you newer EVO owners. Having only owned my EVO for a month now, I really got a better feel for its limits today (and sometimes that scared me, but all the while amazing me as this car does the more and more I drive it).

Thanks for the idea. Hopefully I can join you for the spring run. If not, hopefully you can post your route so I can try some of the side roads too next time. Just wish there were roads like this in my neck of the woods :-)

The prerun Saturday was a great success! All the roads for this run have now been mapped out and all but one have been ran. There was one road added in last minute which will be reviewed and approved this coming Saturday.

The roads seem to all be in overall good condition except for the few patches on one area of 125. Still yet it is nothing too terrible just some uneven patches in an isolated stretch. I have found a second road that is very similar to 125 in many ways with aggresive elevation changes and tight curves. Its a gold mine up there with all the mountains to cross.

My honest thoughts after the first prerun are:

1. Two way radios "should be" manditory for this run due to advance notifications of road surface changes or obsticale along the way. Motorola Talkabout plus or Talkabout 250 models are reasonalbly cheap used on ebay.

2. People should make sure their brake pads and tires are in good order before coming on this event. The change in elevations are sharp and in many cases have a curve at the bottom. Be prepared to use your brakes and have the rubber required to make good traction. Also, be reasonable with your downhill speeds.

My only challenge now is to find a place to stop and eat lunch where there is shade and somewhere to sit. I will be working this into the route.

All in all it looks to be a really great fun run for those that enjoy driving..
I will not have exact run mileage untill next weekend or possibly the weekend after.
