Also, where did you buy meth?
I would just use the pull to ground on the Aquamist setup. Which kit do you have?

I have the 2d kit- which do you have?

I ordered meth from McMaster Carr before- I think it's around $60 shipped for $5 gals. I've found some other suppliers since then- I can look them up if you'd like. I don't go through the stuff very quickly- when I turn on the alchy, I see a shift of .5 - .7 in my AFRs (which is actually a lot more than it seems) with a 1.0 nozzle (I have 750cc injectors, so I went with the biggest nozzle).

I don't have a kit. Sort of in the research/feeling out mode.

The SMC seems to the be simplest/cheapest and most widely used but has no failsafes that come with it.

The Aquamist HFS-5 or whatever it is with DDS-3 failsafe is over 1k I believe

Was thinking of getting the SMC and using the Zeitronix ZT-2 failsafe...

I would check out the coolingmist kit too- I only got the Aquamist because I got a deal that I couldn't refuse.

I don't like the SMC kit because of the nozzles. They mount on the inside, so if one does come loose, it will end up in your motor. I know someone with an Evo that had just that happen.

We are going out somewhere around Framingham/Natick area. I think we are heading out for dinner sometime around 7. Anyone who wants to come is more than welcome.

All this talk about alky, I wanted to see if anyone else has been following this thread. It is a project that a good friemd has been putting together. Very bright individual. He is actually looking for a local guy that would be interested in investing into the project, with the end the "tester" will be sitting with one sweet alky set-up. If I were not unemployed, or not already running am alky kit, I would have loved to have done it. Either way, the thread is some good reading .

I could've sworn I read this a couple months back - that you could send in a stock VIII turbo, and get it upgraded with the larger compressor/turbine wheels AND the IX compressor cover.

I haven't been really following the boards too much the past couple months so not sure if this holds true.

BTW, you guys know anyone running meth locally on a daily/semi-regular basis?
Forced performance no longer does this. They were doing this initially but now refuse to do the upgrade. they want a IX core.

has he looked at a megasquirt? i just looked quickly, but I think that would do exactly what he needs. i was actually thinking of replacing the driver from my aquamist setup with one so I could map the alchy injection independent of the normal fueling.

anja - i think the smc with zt-2 is the most popular choice. i know TTP swears by the ZT-2's failsafes. the ZT-2 is a great wideband, with a ton of features for cheap... but for some reason i'm still leaning towards the LC-1, and sticking to pump.

mikie - i was reading up on the Green and the different housing sizes, and they only recommend the smaller housings if your running 20-22psi. not sure if they mean 22 spike or 22 redline.

I saw you have the 10.5 housing, why mess with perfection?

I really want to do nitro injection, i just have so many other mods i want to do first. I think i would get cams before alky just because i want my car to sound mean
