Marc's car is loud as hell. Mainly the belt and drive for the blower... It's all I could hear when I was in the staging lane with my helmet on (and there was a car between us).

The road course is very cool, if you can see on the vid on one section where you come over a blind hill, I hit third gear everytime before braking for the second gear left hander it flows into. Very cool... can't wait for the next one in July.

I'll have to watch that other vid when I get home, no youtube at work.

chin0 you can def. get a ride next time... you got to come to an event though. its really not much different then a 5.0

Pete I was wussin out on all the straights except for the first one when I was on the limiter in 2nd. you'll see/hear it when you watch the vid. I was worried the car would get too light cresting that hill and just spin. I probably wouldn't have felt that way in the EVO since its a very confidence inspiring car... the vette, not so much.

is anyone coming to the event @ CBP on the 24th?

hey Pete the track looked very tight. was it smoother then the CBP track or did you have to put in more work with the steering wheel? i wish i was there!

I watch vid of another guy with the blue ZO6, he got really loose on the crest of that hill. If you look on youtube his vid should be right by yours. You can tell he had a lot of wheel in it before he had to brake for the lefthander (you can hear all the wheelspin too). I don't blame you for being a little gunshy with the fun peddle, I would be too.

I would say its a little tight, it kind of worried me when I did the course walk, once behind the wheel I felt it was all good.
There is almost no room for mistakes though, if you go off you could really f your ish up. Still not as bad as being on the street though...

I think I know who you're talking about. that guy is a damn good driver, knows his car real well and its setup specifically for AX. Pretty sure he runs in the Pro class. He was running 2nd heat when we were working and that car sounded GOOD too!!

unlike a parking lot where you only have to worry about hitting the cones there isn't much room for error on that road course. still though even holding back some its so much fun.

Just wait until you get your cherry popped on a real road course

chin0, you can to a time trial with EMRA for $99.00 and I don't think you need any experience (although I would recommend some) but you will have to take their school which I think is like an additional $20.00 or so.

thats what I'm doing on the 29th of May @ Thunderbolt, I've never done a time trial before so it will be my first.
