Dan - the ETS exhaust is built well and fits well, but is loud! Not stupid loud, but load for a daily driver. There are things you can do to quite it down, but be prepared. There are times I love it, and others when I wish it was quiter. But I guess they don't make exhausts which change sound when you want. lol...

My only advise is get a full o2 downpipe combo, do not get a short downpipe. Totally not worth it! But definitely do get the o2 downpipe. Either the AMS or ETS are good.

I am sure I missed some other posts as I am having trouble keeping up on vacation. Hope all is well with everyone!

thanks tim. i've been meaning to ask you and am glad i didn't text you about exhaust on your vacation. i was looking at the same setup as you basically. i believe this is it: ets tbe. did you have to buy all the parts separately when you ordered? i am going to find out what i have to do to get through emissions every year if i run a test pipe. i am sure you thought about that.

have fun in the outter banks. good laid back times down there.

thanks ryan. i was actually looking at the hawks. i don't need anything for serious track use. i DD and an occasional autox (whenever that happens).

i was looking at these carbotech but don't know much about them.

chu, i am waiting for you to chime in here....you've suggested plenty of pads to me when i talked to you.

Hey guys what's up? I was going to head out to Atco with Petey but I had to pick up my son after work. Finally getting the car back together. Put the mini battery kit back in along with my new Buschur UICP. I drilled and tapped it for my meth kit so that's ready to go as well. Other than some misc. brackets and stuff I'm ready for the valve cover and I'll be up and running in a day or so. JNZ just got my powder today and of all days the powdercoater decided to take the day off so I probably won't get it till Friday :<. Oh well, I'll just get my boost leak testing done and finish tying up the loose ends on the Aquamist. I can't wait for an APAT Tune!!!!

Just came back from the track.. It was a good time, but very hot and humid.. Chris's car had issues with an off boost stumble from his mas with the missing honeycomb so he couldn't make a clean pass, I think he still trapped like 128 though haha. There was a sick rotary powered corolla that made a 7.91 pass out of nowhere..

Ben's car surprised me, with a guestimate tune, she ended up hitting 124+mph lol and was breaking the tires loose in 2nd gear, I think he went 11.5, traction was definitely an issue. I think she may be a 10 second car after all He actually ran faster with less power 11.5@117 vs 11.6@124.. Cooler day with better track prep his car is gonna roll

I will post up the vids tommorow

I really want to get a ride in Ben's car next time i see him on a sunday night. Car probably rips on the street. Would be even better to see you two run. I forget though how much you trap usually?

I'm running Girodisc Magic pads right now, and they are great thus far. Good bite for a DD pad, no noise, and very low dust compared to the stockers. I think a great all around pad for a dd with some spirited driving. They're also pretty cheap, at $150 for all corners on the 8/9s. I've heard alot of good things about the Ferrodos, but have heard complains that they're a soft compound so they dont last very long. Going by the specs, Satisfied Gran Sports are about the same but at half the price. Marc was telling me about the Carbotechs he's running and how much he likes them. Those are the two pads I want to ty next. I know alot of people that run Hawks on Hondas, but haven't heard anything but bad reviews on the Evos. Good Luck man.

Dan, I love my Carbotech XP-10s.

Like I was telling Chu on Sunday, the initial bite they have is amazing. You better be wearing your seat belt if you try and do a panic stop first thing in the morning. I've done 3 track days so far with them along with a few thousand miles of DD and they are excellent in every situation. Dozens of stops from 150+ down to 60 on the track and they don't miss a beat.

Only trade off is noise and dust. They will squeak when cold and they dust ALOT, but the material is very rotor & wheel friendly and will come off very easy. Even if you get them wet and don't wash it off right away it won't damage your rims like some compounds.

Yes, good times. Sleeping in every day and walking down to the beach at 10am. Doesn't get much better. I think we are hitting up the go kart slick track today.

I think I bought all the parts seperate and actually paid more than that. But yes, that's what I have. If you need an installer, I have one for you. He's worked on two X's so far, and has done mine, even the PITA o2 downpipe. And we can talk about emissions then too when you are ready. You shouldn't throw a code, so it shouldn'y be difficult to get you through.
