Feeler: Double din kit/pioneer avic d3

Hey guys, figured I'd post this in here just in case anyone was interested in buying it. I have the Double Din kit for my Evo and a Pioneer AVIC D3 that I'll be selling if anyone is interested. Pm me if you're interested because this thread is hard to keep up with at times......

marc and chu, thanks for the offers to show how to do it. i understand it is relatively easy. i just don't know how to do it. i will let either of you know when i get them in. apparently the adapters are out of stock and will be in next week maybe.

i think i am going to order my TBE soon which is exciting.

ryan, what "throat" surgery do you have to get done? is an ENT doing it? if so, who? is it for vocal nodules/polys/hemmorhage, esophageal myotomy/dilatation or thyroid issue? can't be cancer at your age. let me know.

edit: i forgot to ask are you apneic? or seeing an ortho surgeon for neck pain and for possible spinal fusion or something

I figured you would be the first one to bite.....haha. If you're serious then just shoot me any kind of offer. I know the Orbital Double Din is impossible to find. If no one buys the head unit then I might stick it in my MAZDA so I'll have navigation in my DD.

Hey, Dan, you live like 5 minutes from me. If you need a hand I'd be more than willing to lend a garage spot loads of beer and some free time to do a pad swap or catback install.

Has anyone here done the SD conversion yet? I was going to do a turbo kit install this weekend but I'm thinking of doing the speed density install first. I'm just wondering how hard it is. I'm not even sure where to mount the MAP sensor yet and all the programming looks daunting enough.

that's a tough one colonelfox. I thought I remembered there being issues with tuning with this patch. Not that it can't be done but it was a pain to get the car running right. I could be spreading bad info.....not really sure. I've only done the JDM MAP, and Tephra v5.10. I started on my Ecu Controlled Boost Project but had issues patching the ROM correctly. I was going to go over all of this with Petey when I had the time.

If any of you considering the SD patch are hoping to run at Etown - do yourselves a favor and hold off until after the race. Don't make any big changes right before a race, because you will run out of time to tune it beforehand. Ask my how I know this. :-P

That's kind of what I was thinking. I'm looking at some of the issues people are having with odd points in the map running poorly for no apparent reason. It looks like some things need to be ironed out first. I think I'll install the hardware and tinker with it slowly until it's working 100%. The turbo is calling my name from the garage right now and my wife is working this weekend so I can have some free time to throw it on.

I have not done one yet, but will be doing one on a friends car very soon as he keeps sucking in the honeycomb.. Small price to pay for over 600awhp I guess

Which turbo did you get?
