The Ti IX RS Turbo was only on non-USDM vehicles, maybe only JDM cars. The USDM IX Turbo is the same in all trim levels.

I may need some help doing that front motor mount. I got the BLOX one. The call it an Engine Roll Stopper or something like that. Anyway I looked under the car a couple of weeks ago and don't see how it's anywhere near as easy as some are making it out to be. I feel like I have no room to work and the External Dump Tube makes it even worse.

Just drop that section of the subframe. It was (3) 17mm bolts and the tie bar thing (3) 14mm bolts. It wasn't a 10 min job, but it wasn't to bad and I suck at working on cars. The blox is what I got and its nice so far. Shifts feel great

Thanks jeff, I'll have to see how the front subframe is attached. Do I have to take the front bumper off again? I'm hoping I feel night and day difference since I have both the Ingalls Torque Damper to put on along with the BLOX M.M.

Here's some info on the turbos for the 7s-9s

I pulled it from an old post that I saved. The 9 turbo is slightly larger than the 8 on the compressor side, and had the 10.5 hotside compaired to the 8s 9.8. The 2005 MR comes with the 10.5 hotside, but evo 8 compressor side. I also am not sure when Mitsu moved from the dual flapper design to the single flapper design on the turbine side. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Evolution 7
Turbo = TD05HR-16G6-9.8T (GSR)
TD05HRA-16G6-9.8T (RS/RS2)
Nozzle Area (cm2) = 9.8
Turbine = GSR - Inconel (steel alloy), RS/Rs2=Titanium alloy
Compressor = Aluminium, 68mm wide

Evolution 7 GTA
Turbo = TD05-15GK2-9.0T
Nozzle Area (cm2) = 9.0
Turbine = Inconel (steel alloy)
Compressor = Aluminium, 65mm wide

Evolution 8
Turbo = TD05HR-16G6-9.8T (GSR / USDM E8)
TD05HRA-16G6-9.8T (RS/RS2)
Nozzle Area (cm2) = 9.8
Turbine = USDM EVO 8 & JDM GSR =Inconel (steel alloy),
RS/Rs2=Titanium alloy.
Compressor = Aluminium, 68mm wide

Evolution MR aka "8.5"
GSR = TD05HR-16G6-10.5T or TD05HRA-16G6-10.5T (Ti Alloy option)
RS = 6MT:TD05HRA-16G6-10.5T or 5MT:TD05HRA-16G6-9.8T

Nozzle Area (cm2) = 10.5 or 9.8(RS-5speed)
Compressor = Aluminium, 68mm wide

All Evo 4-8 Turbos are twin scroll. From the Evo 4 onwards, the Turbo spins in the opposite direction, i.e. Anticlockwise (hence the R in the turbo name). The Titanium Alumnide alloy used in the RS/RS2 and some GSRS (factory option) has less inertia and thus spins up around 500 rpm sooner. These Titanium turbos can be indentified by the A in their name.

Nope just the undertray. I would be nice to have somebody around to help, but you can do it yourself too.
You will feel the difference as soon as you start your car........its a big deal

Jim, maybe I can give you a hand, and learn the process so I can do mine down the line.

Okay, so I just got off the phone with JNZ. I spoke to Eric about the 2 cheaper options to go with at this point in time. (1) replace diff with factory parts for $350+$85/hr*5hrs=$775 or option (2) replace with Quaife with same labor time for about $1500. What do you guys think?

Hahah, I dont know if me blood will give you as much as Ben's blood would. BTW, build that damn thing. Spend the money once and do it the way you would like it. I'd hate to see you spend the 775 now, and then another 1500 in the future.

Dan, glad you figured it out. Bed those bad boys and see if your braking improved!

I wanna install my 9 turbo this Friday night if anyone wants to swing by and lend a hand?
