Black is a difficult color for any car to manage, mix that with Mitsubishis paint booth and well...worst of both worlds unfortunately.

Haha, Jim of course it's me! I'd be glad to help ya, black cars seem to be attracted to me

My car was in horrible condition when I bought it, and took two days to polish up. I have bad washing habits, so some of it has come back. Oakes is right, Mitsu paint sucks *****. The waxes I used doesn't help in attracting dust also. Any tips Nick? I currently use everything from Pinnacle Souveran, Meg's #26, and Meg's Gold Class to name a few. Sit the car outside for 30mins and its covered in dust again!

Park it in a garage and wash it weekly at least once. Mine is spotless most of the time. It's been 2 weeks since I washed it because I haven't driven. that's the longest it's gone in a long time (I even wipe it down in the winter with a washcloth).

Wasn't the cruise tentatively planned for Labor day weekend on Sunday?

On another note, I found out it's a 9 turbo after I found the paypal receipt from 2005.

Pinnacle Souveran is a great wax but more of a depth "show" wax. You're probably looking for something durable if the car rests outside alot. Hard Carnuaba wax or Collinite's No 845 Insulator wax. However, whats better than any wax you will use is a sealant and lasts a lot longer, something like Blackfire Wet Diamond or Optimum Opti-Seal

I got mine in 05

The video is sweet. Its a proven fact that mustaches make you faster. It has nothing to do with big tires, tons of camber and full suspension.

I hope to have my car back by then but don't think I'll be able to attend even if I did.

jeff i had the same dilemma. my only successful bed in was on the 30 bypass west of thorndale at 745am on sunday! i tried again around dinnertime and there were too many people out. i tried again last night to no avail too....well actually i did about 5-6 stops on a long exit ramp but it wasn't optimal. i feel like i want to get one more good attempt before getting back on the road.

i contemplated back roads but 60mph on some roads would only attract a lot of attention. let me know what you come up with.

Jeff what kind of brakes did you go with?

What exactly are you guys doing to bed them? I usually do a few 50mph down to 25mph slow downs back-to-back. Getting on them pretty hard at 50mph. Can do that on almost any road in the area...
