I agree. You don't want to go cheap on a clutch. I've gotten pulling these transmissions down to a science and it's still a 4-6 hour job. I have to pull mine again because it isn't holding the torque. Not fun.

boostedtres Installing a WB isn't hard at all, but you need a bung installed precat. If you have no cat/or hollowed out like I do, you can use the stock rear O2 bung and install a rear O2 simulator. The actual install is about an hour maybe if you're doing it right Ie: soldering all connections and heat shrink tubing over them. I am **** about electrical installs and the widebands can pick up a lot of signal noise if you just splice and use electrical tape.

Seems to be running good too. I had to fix the idle when I got home, it was about 1500rpm, no biggie though. I am completely elated to have it back. I'm gonna go wash it now in the rain. It hasn't had a bath in 3months...

i'm back in the US after a week in cancun. this weather is horrible and ugly. ugh makes me want to move back to south florida.

it was really really really hot down there this past week. i couldn't believe how hot it was. miami even was experiencing a heat wave. my wife and i didn't last 5 minutes outside without sitting in the water.

back to work tomorrow

 

colonel, thanks for the advice. sounds pretty simple. i too dont have the cat so i could just use the stock 02 bung which i didnt know you could do, thats great. I just need to pick one up now and get after it.
