Can I just come to watch an autox event? Do you have to be a member or anything?

Interesting Thread about a GT-R owner selling his car to help a friend. Buys an 2010 EVO as a replacement:

I don't know about that. It sounds a little fishy to me, but I hope it's real. Before I sound like an ***, allow me to explain why. We had this kid years ago on a forum I modded that came up with this insane imaginary life. He had a hot girlfriend, nice cars, he was working toward a law degree, had a yacht, the list went on. He also made up stories just like that one and almost everyone but the staff bought into it for like a year. People treated him like royalty. It was ridiculous. Eventually another member went into private investigator mode and completely ripped it open. He dug up everything he could find, located some pics he posted as his own on other peoples websites, the cars he drove on some BMW forums etc. He ended being a kid who lived at home with his parents and dropped out of high school if I remember correctly. I'm always skeptical now if someone makes an obvious "look at what I've done for someone" claim. I wouldn't feel the need to tell everyone how awesome I am. There's a lot to be said for humility. But then again, maybe he's being honest and if that's the case then what he did for a friend is incredible.

Point taken colonelfox, balloon-boy syndrome.

Thanks to Chu's Brother and Perry from Autox4u. Used their pics to create a fun collage:

i don't understand these people that live in fantasy worlds. i wonder what they actually believe and/or say to themselves.

my wife's ex-boyfriend from right after high school used to tell her all these lies when they were dating like, he was going to temple for whatever and is a starting running back on their football team. he never went to college or even tried to get in. how to do lie like that to someone you date for years.

she stalks him on facebook (she's nosey). and every couple weeks he comes up with some BS, like he posted a question as to whether he should get the new M5 or 911 or maserati. then the next week he posted "i've decided to go back to medical school."

i just wonder what this dude thinks of himself. kind of hard to get a 911 when you work for a cleaning business and hard to go back to medical school when you've barely made it out of high school.

i hate liars. btw i'm a professional MMA fighter.
