This is probably a dumb question, but maybe one of you could help me out. I have the ETS mini battery on my car. As it is now, the negative terminal is towards the rear of the car and the positive terminal towards the front.
I want to flip the battery 180 degrees so that it's facing the opposite direction since the positive wires are stretched pretty tight and 1/4 inch away from my UICP. The problem is that the negative battery wire is grounded to the engine compartment (with some other wires attached at the same spot) right below the strut bar. This makes it so the wire isn't long enough.
Is it safe to unhook the ground (leaving the other wires attached to the same spot), and attach the negative cable ground to another spot, such as the mini battery holder?

Do you have all-seasons on? Please tell me your not out tearing it up on summers?
pete you going to the autoX this morning? I woke up all stoked to go race, chu said there was snow on the ground, and i am going to make a last min decision when I get down there, 9.5 wheel +yoko summers + snow = lots of busted frozen cones and ruined paint AT BEST
Yes. You can get a longer negative cable from any auto parts store and re attach it at the same point too. You just need to make sure its a solid, straight to chassis ground or youll get a lot of electrical issues.

No I'm not going today, it was never in the cards for me. It doesn't really sound worth it with the snow we got yesterday anyway. How are they going to clear the lot?
they didnt clear the lots, haha. sounds like everyone without snows is screwed. I may just go watch and head to the car show for fun with the dad for the birthday. anyone who goes have fun or shoot me a txt if your making it down to the car show! Dan or chu should have my number.
