Where would it be worth it to go for a tune in MA!!!
let me tell u my story.
1st tuned Ecuflash at DSG, made 345whp w/stock turbo. car runs better than before (of course), but when later i pull the map out, it look very funny.
2nd time, i installed HKS 3037 w/750cc injector and more upgrades. DSG tuned my car and it made 330whp (spend more than 8000 bucks and lose 15 whp?) and the car dies out all the time. DSG still charge me full price which i don't really think they should... (i will never go back to them)
same setup, i bring to one of my friend -- De, he tuned to 370whp at TDC's dyno in NH. (DSG really know what they doing?)
but after few month i can't stand the lag, so i took away 3037 and put a FP Green, this time i also added F-conVpro Stand alone, and drive all the way up to NJ, Sean at Ivey tuned the car, and yes, that's what real tunning should feels like. car runs so smooth and powerful, get 388whp.
really want to step up the game? get a FconVpro and drive to Ivey.
just have few bolt ons, then u can stay with DSG's rookies.....

Virginia? I posted about Ivey in NJ and I got flamed
TDC's dyno is/was a dynojet (edited cause 1slow corrected me) It was a land and sea... (you're right 1 slow) which reads higher than ours. That would explain the 40 or so hp you supposedly gained through Dee's tune.
Investigate the numbers that other cars with that kit have made on a Dyno Dynamics they are very low. If you had a modicum of intelligence you'd have checked into that before spending eight thousand dollars on a turbo kit!!!!. (someone ripped you off)
Dex- Sorry you had a bad experience. That was the first I had heard of anything beyond the solenoid. When you called about that I didn't know what the problem was exactly- I didn't do the work on your car. I took some guesses and advised you to come back, which you didn't. This dialog is not very helpful at this point in time and I wasn't trying to insult your intelligence.
This will be my last post here as I realize that I'm most likely doing myself a disservice by posting any rebuttal to the hearsay and stories I'm hearing. We produce race results and I'll let those speak to our quality and knowledge.

Either way, as many have said in the past, Dynos are made for tuning and making your cyber **** bigger. nothing else.
Hope all is well Alex.
Your post was fantastic! But the purpose of my post was to remind ALL of you that we're talking about MA. READ THE THREAD TITLE. The purpose was also to SIMPLY answer the OP and to stick with the point of the thread. I'm not here to call people names, or suggest that the OP drives out of state for some magical tune. My purpose was to get the thread back on track. Any of you could easily start another thread for out of state tuning suggestions. The title of the thread is "Where would it be worth it to go for a tune in MA". DSG is the answer to that question.

Yes they are all stupid for having one of the best Evo tuners tune their car.
You obviously are naive, I have been in the evo community for some time and I have seen tuners from all across the
country, from what I have seen Ivey is the man to see if you want to spend the $$ and time to have the best tune for your evo.
like I previously mentioned, if you want to keep it local, go see DSG,
as Alex once said, "this will be my last post here"

The turbo kit cost me $4999. then other stuff plus labor all add up runs about 8G. i am not stupid, i will not pay $8000 for a turbo kit. And u guys charged me $2650 for Cosworth Cams, sounds like a good deal, ahhh?
TDC's dyno is DynoMite, which rate pretty low too. But the main reason i was not happy is, when i get the car back from ur guys, it runs like S-H-I-T!!! Die out everytime i slow down. and after i called u guys, the answer was "u have a leak after MAF."
But that is not the case, De tuned it, redid the map and readjust the injector, and car runs no problem. i don't care about the dyno number that much, all i want is my car runs smooth. it not that 40whp make me happy, it's that De make my car can drive again!!! now that is Land and Sea!!!
I paid $500 to DSG for a lesson. not for a tune. i just speak it out and let other ppl know. All DSG fans out there please don't hate me because of i am speak of the truth. maybe i am just not as lucky as u guys when DSG work on my car, that's all!
The reason i drive all the way up to NJ it's because there is no HKS-pro Dealer in MA, there is no one can touch FconVpro in MA.
I never know how good Sean is with Ecuflash, but with FconVpro, Ivey Tune is the only place to go.

There r couple tunners out there r very good, but DSG will not allow anyone tune cars on their Dyno, guess that's why also make them the "best".
hahahaha. so If u live in MA, u r very "lukcy", cuz DSG is very close to u.
But if u really love ur car, u won't mind drive few hrs. just like if u wanna go to strip club and get ur money worth, then u will drive down to RI!

Well, if that is the case, DSG is the only shop has AWD dyno in MA. then i guess that makes them the "best".

DSG is the best in shop MA because they produce results. The race cars that they build, and tune, win. They win races on tarmac, snow, and gravel. Their fabrication/welding is incredible. They always steer me in the right direction, and I enjoy my car more because of them. I don't go to DSG just because they have an AWD Dyno, that's plain silly.
ps. their welds on my exhaust were beautiful
