hahaha DSG is not the only AWD dyno in MA, DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU POST. However DSG is the only dyno my car will go on, thats my personal opinion. Im really surprised by these posts, alex, bill, nick, and the whole dsg crew have always helped me when i was in a jam to the point where they have met me on a sunday to work on my car, because it was urgent for me the have the vechile one the following monday, and they didnt charge me extra. Guys at a shop that will come in a their day off to work on a customers car beacuse ur stuck in tight spot, to me thats a stand up shop. Again these are my personal opinions, these guys have done excellent and clean installs on my evo.

Hey guys, just wanted to give you all a heads up in case anyone didn't see my previous post. I have already decided on a Mellon mail in until I can get some time to install some more parts. I'd rather save the dyno money until then to get the most bang for my buck. I will decide on the shop when that time comes. I don't have a problem with DSG as they are extremely nice people who do absolutely sick fab work. I asked because I really wanted to know if anyone was aware of other reputable shops in the MA area. Thanks for all the responses, hopefully when can end the back and forth bashing.

You are the reason I love forums such as this. Your so caught up in defending the shop you love your making yourself look crazy.

First off: take a deep breath and read this clearly. His thread title is not what he was asking in this thread. The OP's original post asks where to get a tune outside of MA...since he felt MA did not have someone he could take his car too. Sooooo you turned this into a MA war with the local garage you happen to take your car too.

Second: Look who is in my signature. I assure you they are top notch in New England and my car proves that for sure.......but............I can show you many threads of bashers who were not happy.....at the end of the day being an internet tough guy acheives nothing. If your happy with your local garage be happy but for gods sake...if your going to bash...be educated and read the OP's whole question....not just the title.

I know how you feel, It's awesome when someone finds any oppurtunity they can to step in and plug their shop of choice.

Read it again, the OP said he wanted to AVOID DRIVING TO NY, OR NJ, and everybody is telling him to go to NJ. That's ignorant. Maybe you guys drive me crazy. I'm trying to remind all these guys that his preference is MA, NH, ME, or CT. I feel like I'm the only one who answered his question. You are the first person to have a CT suggestion. I haven't acted like a tough guy. I haven't bashed any shop. I'm just trying to get this thread out of NJ.

Thats not ignorant. Ignorance the use of information with the lack of knowledge on that subject. You thinking DSG is the only shop in New England that can tune a car well is a prime example of that.
People were just telling him that he is better off going further out than MA,ME,CT etc. one of those people being me. Telling him that he should go to NJ is far from ignorant since I have had many occurances of personal experience with tuners in New England.

This thread should be locked. it has gotten nothing resolved at all.
The OP is going with Mellon anyway

I obviously know that other shops in New England can tune a car. Out of MA, NH, ME, and CT, DSG is the best shop. That's what I was getting at.

If I said, "I want to avoid driving to NJ", and someone else says "Drive to NJ", I'd think they were ignorant, that was my other point.

Actually I have had Pruven in my signature forever....and I didn't plug them...you just did for me. I was proving a point that their reputation has been pulled through the mud from people as well.....I actually didn't even offer them as an option since their in lower CT....
and the OP said he didn't wan't to drive as far as N.J. I was just making a case that people don't read anything anyone writes...they just start the poo fying to argue.
Hence your comment that proves my point. Don't read a post fully...just comment as to what you believe to be there.

My experience with DSG went like this. I made and appointment to check my tune that I just got before shipping my car to Maine because my car didn't seem to be running right. I just moved to the east coast and couldn't take it back to my tuner in Cali. They put it on the dyno and verified that it was not running right they pulled it off checked some things. They couldn't figure out what was wrong. They said maybe bad gas. They said to run out the gas refill and come back. I was charged around $550. I drove 2 1/2 hours to get there and never made it back. I did a boost leak test myself. It turned out my TB seal was leaking badly witch I fixed myself. I paid around $550 and left there with the same problem.

I am pretty sure the OP did what we all should have done and given up on this thread.

Yeah, I should have stayed out of this, but DSG is still the best shop in MA.
