When I shipped my car up to BR, I used crosscountry transport. It was open, but you can request closed. it would probably be more expensive!

There are a couple good shipping companys out there. I can't remember the name of the one that I used to ship my car from MA to WA when I got back from Iraq last year but it was $650.00 open trailer. They put my car right behind the truck on the lower level. Nothing hit my car or anything, BUT it was filthy when I got her back. No biggie though.

I wouldn't worry to much about open shipping unless you have a 6 figure price tag on your car. The companys ALL perform a walk around inspection on your car before it is put on the trailier and when it is taken off. If ANYTHING is different you bring it up, their insurance will cover it.

Good luck, if I remember the company I used I will post it up.
