I have kumho Ecsta AST on their now and want to get a nice sticky summer tire. Im going to try to find another set of wheels so i can switch.

Believe it or not, I do now. I did two autox events last year. It is my New Years resolution to make it to at least one Philly SCCA event this year, mostlikely Delaware Park.

BTW - I love tags.

 

yeah one of my goals is to go to at least 5 different autox events.
and hopefully i do well eventually

i believe it happened in the summer of 09. It could have been really really really bad but ended up only being like 2 grand worth of fixings. I was pretty happy about how lucky i got. The zo6 that ate it on the same turn wasn't as lucky... deff totaled.

 

I've found the opposite to be the case. I think they have amazing wet traction. are you sure there weren't other factors, besides the tire you were running, that led up to your wall incident?

Either way we need to get you back on that horse... have you been to NJMP since? Seeing your times from the last time @ LVGP I know you have the raw talent, we just need to get you over that fear of the wall.

BTW, my buddy Bob was there last Monday and broke a rib sliding into a tire wall. He said there was ZERO traction to be found. Anyone up for some Karting next monday, lol?

you do realize comparing yourself against another class w/o using PAX is pointless. Not to mention the guy in the civic, Ted, has been doing this probably longer than you've been alive, lol.
