I was thinking of running New Meadowlands on 4/16.. Not sure what I want to do. Wouldn't mind doing a track day in April, I guess I need to look at the schedule again.

Marc, I don't see the results either. The link on the scca page doesn't work for me.

I liked the course, but I wasn't too happy with my driving. I wasn't looking ahead as much as I should have, and I overdrove a lot of the sections. Those cones had it coming though.

40 down to 36.

i said i rode with chau. what i meant was that i found the part that i kept going off course and wanted to try to do it right on my own.

99% of this is pure fun for me. i'm not all that interested in whether i was the fastest or slowest in the group. i get to get out there and drive like i can't on the street.

riding with chau i realized my attitude is quite different from him and others. i don't go out swinging for the fences with the mindset of "if it breaks, it breaks." maybe my attitude will change once i get better and start running consistent times.

i felt like i was sliding all over the place. i did a prolonged 4 wheel drift towards the end of the course without much effort.

I've planted the seed to the wife about doing NJMP 4/21-22 (thurs-Fri) w/PCA. I didn't look at the schedule too hard but that was the date being thrown around this weekend.

I looked at that as well, not real big on the idea of taking off work, but I don't write the schedule.

Dan,

I understand what your saying, I'm doing it for the same reason, but I would like to win. On my set-up its not really a possibility unless someone else really screws up..

Dan, I think you've missed the point alittle. None of us are out there thinking "if it breaks, it breaks." My take on it is that I've spent money getting the car to what it is. And I want to see what that money spent is worth it. Obviously, we can't do that on the street. So I will drive the crap out of it when I have the chance to. Realistically, how much damage can happen when you driving 2nd gear, barely touching redline, and staying under 60mph? If anyone is breaking parts, it would be a newb with a really sh*tty car, or a pro with a highly prepared car.

I'm not huge on taking off from work either, but thats what vacation days are for, right. Shoot some dates at me for what you're interested in... I'm all ears.

its very rare to see anyone break their car unless it was already a POS in the first place.

Marc, I'll have to look at it later tonight or something. I might/should be able to do that friday though, don't think I could swing both days.

Talk of cars breaking during autox just makes me think of the fat man and that pos integra. I know we've discussed this before, so I won't speak of it again.
