Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
Damn James. Let your friend know I'm coming to borrow his girl for a few hours. I have a bigger set at home but those are pretty awesome as well.
I'm seriously considering some Generals for a season or some other cheap entry level summers. I can't justify the huge pricetag for new tires again after all this ****ed up motor crap I've been through.

whats up guys. everyone have a good day? suffering in pain from throwing a football around, cant lift ish. oh well.
question, so who all is running upgraded valvetrain with what cams? im looking into getting cams, an deciding what I want and if springs/retainers are required. good insurance, but if not needed then ill save the 500. kelfords, s2s, new HKS.... thoughts? josh, petey, chuster, ideas?

Get a 272 and you'll be fine. I run a stock valvetrain compatible Comp 280 but it's overkill for low and midrange. Kelfords would be my first choice and if I went with another cam it would be their 272s.
new HKS, FPs, Kelford 272, GSC S2...all of these recommend upgrade valvetrain. Some people claim it is okay not to do valvetrain if you stay below a certain RPM, like Kelfords for 1. I wouldn't advise that though. i'd like to upgrade to Kelford or GSC S2 myself. Someone buy my S1s.
yea i like the kelford 272. the S2s have a more aggressive lift from what I have read, requiring upgraded valvetrain. i have been told that the kelfords are fine on stock valvetrain if you keep it around 7.5k rpms.
that being said, i will be on a stock turbo for some time until i can afford something bigger. I want to have some more power, keeping it streetable, but not needing to upgrade again.
valvetrain sounds like a good safety precaution and might as well do it while I am in there. just getting other opinions from you gurus. gona browse the FS threads and see what other smaller parts I can pick up to do everything at once. more power+track time =
for me

turbo first then cams? seems a lil out of order to me. The cams will be done when I do the 60k service. thats a must obviously. turbo would be great but dont think the funds will allow since I am buying a gun soon too.
60k service, gates belt etc. Probable water pump even tho its not required quite yet (everyone else done there water pump already?)
- LICP
- head studs
- cams
- intake (hks or JMF with works filter, thoughts?)
- more boost an a tune
- other stuff I am sure I am forgetting but im exhausted haha.
josh, how the hell you been man, everything good? def like to hear your thoughts on the 60k +upgrades since I know youve done all that numerous times!

If you were already doing the 60k, then yes, I agree to do the cams at the same time. But to go and spend money on cams and valvetrain, I'd rather be doing the turbo first. That's just me though.
yea sure, its F&F upgrade.....
as I said, I am doing them at the same time as my 60k service, so it makes sense to do them both.
turbo will be later down the road, see no need for it now and dont really want to spend the money ive saving for a bike on a turbo. but hey, thats just me tho
