from what I've heard a viper is a pretty hard car to drive, but if you drive it hard its pretty fast.

you sure about that... i've seen crush washers on drain plugs, but never an exhaust housing. maybe you're thinking of lock washers, but I don't recall seeing any of those either.

Chu, I spoke with Josh about that yesterday and I have to agree with Marc. He said he used all my oe hardware as the Megan didn't some with any. No washers on my stuff...

No washers on your stuff, thats why it keeps coming loose. I used all brand new oem hardware on both my turbo installs, except the two nuts from Pepboys. Those washer on the 5 bolts on the o2 housing crushes to prevent the bolts from getting loose. I heard they crush, but whatever the case is, I sure dont have any bolts coming loose.

I can't justify why anyone would charge $1.40/washer if they're normal washers.

those aren't crush washers or lock washers... but whatever. I have all OEM hardware on my O2 also, only difference is I replaced the bolts with STUDS and used those copper exhaust nuts with the locking ring at the top. No washers (except for the one built into the nut, but I don't think thats a washer really, its the same diameter as the nut) and I haven't had one back out on me either. again, just sayin.

I think Pete's problem is that he's driving the car too hard. if he would slow it down a bit and quit passing everyone in the blue group maybe his **** would stay together longer than one day.

I'm not 100 percent sure that they crush either, because they are pretty hard, but thats what I was told by STM and FP, so I bought them becasue I didn't want to run into any issues.
