Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
I drove the Evo to work today on backroads to 95 from my place. Coming from the corolla everyday, there is nothing like being able to pass people on the highway or win "acceleration races" with someone in g37 that speeds up in the left lane when you go to pass them on the right or having track pads to stand on when a tractor trailer cuts you off suddenly. The rest of the drive sucked with catching every light from thorndale to Chester.
the blades on the exhaust side are missing bits which is why i wouldn't want to sell it to anyone.
does youe evo8 have a 10.5 hotside? if not i'll sell him mine.
I'm starting to like driving a beater everyday for a couple reasons...
i can drive really hard and not break the speed limit
its a POS car and people get out of your way cause they don't want you near them
when I get back in the EVO it feels like a F1 car

I do like driving the beater but sometimes it gets old especially the way you get treated by others on the road. I do however carry much more speed through the corners and brake a lot later than other people around me. I drive on a lot backroads and I found that people only drive fast in a straight line. I could have some jerk riding my *** down a backroad then we boy need to turn or the road curves and I absolutely lose the guy until it straightens out again. I'm not talking about hammering it in the straight line, I'm talking about 40-55mph and taking turns harder....not heavy throttle action on my part.
I'm amazing!!

I like the looks I get from people waiting at lights or trying to make a turn when I trail-brake my 1500 silverado pickup into a turn and slide the rear just a little bit before hitting the gas again, or when I go around a sweeper and the all-season tires are screaming for mercy. I think its because people associate squealing tires with accidents
It rather worrisome, there are alot of drivers that have no issues doubling the speed limit, when the road is straight and they feel safe. As soon as the road turns a bit they feel out of control.
Jersey drivers are starting to scare me btw. Sunday i was nearly killed while sitting at a red light. The lady wasnt looking and had to drive over a curb and onto someones lawn to avoid us.
yesterday a taurus doing 80+ almost ran me over on my bike while trying to swerve through traffic. He also had to use the shoulder to avoid hitting me. Thankfully I wasn't in a high gear, otherwise i might not be here.

slip angles are one thing i miss about the miata. especially with the front and rear sways, it was a beautiful things ::tears::
