Ok bishes, have what I think is all the info we'll need for the event... let me know your thoughts.

To rent Thinderbolt with one chicane (not aloud to run both) all inclusive (flaggers, insurance, garage space for everyone, use of classroom, event shirts.. )

20 = $382.50
25 = $306.00
30 = $255.00
35 = $218.60
40 = $191.25

The above amount includes everything we talked about here with the exception of breakfast & lunch. They are asking for $15/pp for a boxed lunch (not including breakfast) and I don't think there is much value in that. We could get a pizza delivery to feed everyone for half of what they're asking and it would be hot and fresh instead of cold and old like their food. The only real variable is the t-shirts. Pricing for those really depends on design and number of shirts we'll ultimately need.

I think we should shoot for 40 people with as close to a 1:1 student/instructor ratio as possible. If we run two groups we'll each get 3 hrs of track time in one day which will be more than we'll be able to use.

to make it happen I need to put a 25% deposit down, which is non-refundable, and the balance due within two weeks from the event date. If there is snow we can reschedule with 72 hour notice for no additional fee.

Fire those questions/comments away...

Would that reschedule be assigned by them or can we choose any open weekend?

it would be our choice, but we would have to cooperate with their schedule. so if they have an event already scheduled for the day we wanted to reschedule we'd be SOL and have to pick another date.

I think I know where you're going with this... you're thinking of just picking a date then rescheduling for a warmer weather day. That won't work, I already asked. We would need actual snow in the forecast to be able to reschedule for no fee.

it doesn't cover damage YOU do to your own car, thats on you. There are groups out there who sell insurance for these types of things but I think you need to be an established club/group to qualify for that... we are not.

I don't want to take any money until we know there will be at least 25 people attending. Its just too much to deal with refunds and all that stuff and I don't like holding money for months that isn't mine. I would say if you are seriously interested just post here and I'll put your name on the list. Once that list reaches 25 I'll collect money and make the 25% deposit to NJMP. I say 25 people just because I think at that price point it starts to become a very good deal.

If I can't put my money down now, I'm no longer interested. Count me out!
