busy day... just ordered my new (to me) mivec longblock with (hopefully) everything I'll need to do a full IX swap. all parts sould be here Friday of next week and I'm going to try and get it all wrapped up before the 1st of the year. TTB here I come!

I know Jake isn't the guy to talk to, but I still don't see how this will be an issue. An VIII with an XI motor swap is NO advantage over a base IX GSR. There are a couple examples (using mustangs) in the TT rules that support my point.
