Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
Buying a new exhaust in not in the evos budget this winter. Im trying to get my nova on the road and the suspension freshened for auto x. I really don't want to cut mine thats why I was thinking about making one.
My budget...
3 weeks ago replaced Evo's clutch and 5th gear syncro.
Last week replaced wheel bearing and all drivetrain fluids in the Mazda.
Yesterday the Mini's power steering pump and battery took a ish.
FML!
Anyone know of a good paying 2nd job?

Wow, and all three cars are not even old!
I've had good experiences with Japanese cars. 1997 Acura RL, 125K, only had to faulty ABS pump, and 2 front wheel bearings. Timing service was free from Acura. 2000 Lexus ES300, 165K, coming up on its second timing service soon. 1996 Camry, 197k, gave away. 1991 Civic hatch, 155k, stolen. 2003 Evo, 140k now. Has been trouble free for the most part, no major services that I would consider unexpected. And the newer 2008 BMW X5, close to 40k and has been trouble free also. Will be due for an oil change soon.

Age has little to do with it...
Evo = stock clutch w/76.5k, 4 yrs autox + 13 track days. Wasn't slipping, just felt it was time, esp since I've had the clutch since 09'.
Mazda = 93k, not surprised.
Mini = They all eat power steering pumps, common failure. Should be a TSB, but its not cause the Germans feel they do nothing wrong.

I have an abs issue in the corolla that needs to get sorted out. Its pretty bad considering I locked up the front brakes twice this morning on the way to work. It takes very little effort to lock them up.
