That's the one ****ty thing about working in acute care. It never closes. I haven't had any long breaks in years and would kill for one.
If something ever happens that causes me to lose my job or leave my job, I'd contract independently and work 7 days a week for a few months them take a considerable amount of time off (like 1-3 months).
