I was disappointed with this past weekends autox results. We never ran the time the car was capable of, even though we went 1 / 2 in class, Shoe was class winner. We both made the Super Shoot Out Shoe was out after first elimination round, I made it to my second round and lost by .338 or something on PAX time. This FSP BMW beat me with his soft PAX, I lost on my fastest run of the weekend, dropped 3/10's off my time.
Our problem was we are out of rubber to run. We were on tired Hoosiers and it showed, I think we were a second slower than what car could have done driving it no differently.
Speaking of driving I was all wrong with my car placement until we broke down video. My coaching crew hollered at me and got my head right. I think my driving in the Super Challenge showed that, cause I was dropping some time. The tires were just killing us, besides Dover is a killer on Hoosiers. The blacktop just eats tires there, I am not sure why. It is also horribly bumpy in 1 of the 2 lots we run on there. So 1/2 the course was nice and smooth, other side was like running on a dirt course. Course was just sweeper after sweeper, I actually was really diggin that. Even though Shoes car is not a sweeper machine, I love driving the sweepers.
Hopefully Shoe gets some video up, I want to see the difference in my lines from the competition to the Shootout.
We partied hard, had some awesome chicken (cajun chicken from Whole Foods premade, wasn't dry at all BTW) and beer. The heat though was horrible, my buddy with a mobile camper has an awning on it, he took the temperature in the shade on the RV and it was 106 degrees. It was ridiculous how hot it got. We had to spray tires 3 seperate times to get them cool, it was crazy. Shoe's car ran perfectly, did not come close to overheating.

 

Ok, you beat me in the competition but who had the fastest time in your car this weekend??? Right sorry I had to point that out, but we all need to get checked sometimes fool!
