Thai, I just need to get the car where it needs to be first so I can start proper domination.

About the enthusiast class allows you to still put a 600HP turbo on your car as long as you can drive it there. Aka trailer to the area and drive to the track in the car that's still registered and insured.

They should of restricted power output, stock turbos and no strokers but the main thing was to separate pro drivers from grassroots.. but you don't get cash payout. At least the entry is $200 cheaper, so $300 for both days.

looks like the new Enthusiast Class aint going to help me much. im screwed with the carpet and head liner and headlight duct. although the rules does say that things can be modify to accommodate a roll bar, which my head liner was removed for roll bar and i can say i removed the carpet to weld in the roll bar. would be BS for me to bump up in class because of those two technical. also, why didn't they change the tires for the Enthusiast class and make it 180 tread wear. that will give it more separation from the Street class. and 180 TW has more options for enthusiast. less options for the 140 TW for the hardcore street class.
fixed.

Cheaters only get caught.

I think they want to leave it somewhast open to get more people to come out. That's a good thing I think. Its only when the car is wild, like PA, does it become an issue for someone like me who have thoughts of competing in the future.

^ I agree.

I think GTA saw an increase in entries in street class once word got out PA might not be making it and they realized they might be shooting themselves in the foot by not having an entry level (enthusiasts) class where errday people with real street cars can have at least a snow ***** chance in hell of getting a plastic trophy.

you best upgrade your stock air filter if you think you can keep up with meh son. good luck chasing down PA in the street class

not really cheating. cant expect everyone to feel comfortable with driving their car 10 hours and then drive it on track. there are plenty of street driven cars that gets trailer to track, doesn't make it any less of a street car.

I kinda agree about the trailer thing. Just cause a car shows up on a trailer doesn't mean its fast.

I like the fact they have the current insurance and inspection requirements, but I think they should take it a step further and make it so it can't be an EXEMPT inspection, meaning you have to have driven the car more than 5000 miles since the last inspection. THAT would be a real street car. Some guys can just 'buy' inspection stickers for their cars and keep them registered and insured but never really drive them anywhere but on the track, thats not a street car.

For no contingency and no trophy I think they are doing fine with the rules as they are... I'm just sayin.

I've put on nearly 5000 miles on my car since the PCD event and it's rarely street driven. So for less than 5000 miles a year that would mean that they do even less track days in their cars than me considering the only street time it sees aside from a quick drive is to and from the track.

Dan, so you are averaging about 1000 miles a month... that is 'I think' average usage. 10-12k I think is what the average person does mileage wise.
