Dan, did you lose the use of your side air-bag after installing the Pillar Pods?

 

don't know yet but i am guessing no. i don't think much will stop that thing from blowing. the a pillar stays relatively in the same place when it deploys.

why? are you thinking about getting some gauges?

That reminds me, any of you guys who signed up for the Mini driving event thingy, that is being ran on a different lot than were running on. It will be held on the Q lot, we'll be on the other side of the building in X,T,U and I think. Not sure how your event is being ran, but I can tell you it has nothing to do with the SCCA.

Shelly is all signed up for the saturday 8:30-12:30 class. What one did you sign up for Dan?

 

I just wondered about it, I was looking at the pods for some far off future upgrade.

 

The A Pillar does not house the side impact airbag. This topic has been beaten to death on the Evo X specific forums on this site and the other site. You should be fine with the A pillar gauge mount.

May I also suggest the EvoScan GPS Nav for a gauge solution. I am using it and it seems to do everything I need.

pillar pods FTW. i don't know how i would read a gauge as easily in any other place in the car. well steering column works well but it blocked my tach and speedo.
