Bored, so I figured I post pics of my detail of Petey's car. Didn't take a lot becasue I wanted to get it done, but I'll show what I did take.
Items used were:
Wesley Tire Cleaner, half strength
Dr. Ivan (local guy) autobath soap...nice stuff. I use my foam gun to soak the car in soap, and them make a bucket to wash.
Meg's Medium Grit Clay. I used Optimum No-Rinse/water (1:10) dilution as my clay lube
Polishing: Menzerna Intensive Polish & Menzerna Final Finish (2x)
Tires and wheel-wells being cleaned. Look at the dirt and grime. And that's before I even scrubbed it...
Car all washed up and clayed. Took pics after taping stuff off. I use the huge towel to cover the windshield wipers and stuff...
Finished polishing and awaiting lsp. Looks pretty good from this angle. The paint actually had flakes in it that really came out with a good polish. You can see the flakes on the fender. It looked great in the sun...until it rained that evening; I'm pretty pissed because the lsp required 12hr of dry time to cured,and did not get it.

If your counting the wife as one I get it... still need a new one though, mine is from 77' and doesn't do anything except make noise.Me too... Where's the final product Chu?
Didn't get a chance to take final pics, but the car turned out pretty good I thought. I glimmered in the sun. Petey noticed some buffer trails on the hood and roof, so I have to fix that...quick fix! This color is a tough one, as it hides alot of things even when I shot a work like at it to check for problems.

let me know if you guys ever decide to do a pub GTG in the suburbs... not that I know what I'm talking about, but I hear we have some bars with pretty good beer selections in the Lansdale area (the blue dog comes to mind).

Still deciding on what to do... I may come out. Driving down to the city at that time is gonna suck for me though, not to mention the fact I have absolutely no idea where I'm going.

yes, if it was closer I would be able to make it. I was thinking about making this HH, but #1 - I don't really drink (nothing against it, just did all my drinking in HS) and #2 - I can't leave the wife alone with the boys for that long right now.
speaking of rolling fenders... did I loan out my heat gun to any of you guys? went to look for it yesterday and can't seem to find it. last time I recall seeing it was at the DE autox when chu 'attempted' to roll mine.
