I think the dunlops are the proven choice in terms of cost, longevity and performance combined.

If you wanna go somewhat higher than that, you have the RE11.

People say good things about the Nitto's too.

I'm running 265 RE11s on my 18X9.5 on stock suspension with no issues.

Also, costco has started selling Bridgestones again this year, so look into that as well for good deals.

I've been debating buying a good set of high performance tires for the stock Evo 8 rims since I have access to a mounting and balancing setup- I'd just swap them for all seasons after an event. I could conceivably buy good tires OR wider rims, but not both for a while. The choice would be either great tires on stock rims or wider rims with cheap tires. Thoughts?

Well, I'm driving from Maple Shade to the Auto X at CBP and then to the BBQ from there.

Injectors - 800-1000ccif you're staying with the stock turbo

walbro 255 and mesh fuel sock filter and a way to rig it up in the fuel pump housing. I used the blaqops kit. It was a good investment since I'm a noob.

E85 safe hose with clamps to connect the fuel pump to the housing fitting.

E85 safe underhood fuel line with inline fuel filter (the line that feeds the fuel rail).

Oh and some e85 and a tune.

If you buy the blaqops kit, you'll only need the walbro and injectors.

The blaqops kit comes with this plastic adapter that you pop the pump into and click it into the housing. It's too easy and worth the money IMO.

If you want something you'll get some mileage out of I say stay away from either of those two tires Nick, sorry Sri. I can't imagine getting more than 10-12k out of a set of either. I don't have an answer for you at this time, but I don't think either one of those are the way to go.

I've seen what your car does to its tires...

Jeff, I am planning on going to the gv thing. You need a ride because you won't have transportation or could you meet me at my house?

no offense taken Pete. I can only think of All seasons tires that may give you more life AND reasonable performance in that case. Any performance summer worth its salt is gonna last you no more than 15 to 17K miles at best depending on your alignment and driving style.

Yeah Sri you should have seen what nicks car did to a set of tire when he was rocking -3000000000 degrees of camber all around.

Btw Sri, I'm gonna say it again. You should really consider e85. With the fmic and 3port I'd bet you'd make 375-385whp on the KHC dyno. That's a good bit.
