In other news... its my swaybar link, for sure!

I was putting my car somewhat back together and just grabbign ish and trying to shake the hell out of it. Now I know it wasn't this loose before but I can move the sb from side-to-side and it hits the subframe (maybe?) making... you guess it a loud knocking sound. I must have made it a lot worse at the Holbert. It def wasn't that loose before.

I am correct in thinking it should not be able to make contact with anything correct? I don't remember it being that loose before.

The front swaybar right? I don't think it should clunk like that at all if it's under load. Are the bolts all tight?

you might have found it... that bar shouldn't be moving side to side. are the swaybar brackets still bolted to the subframe?

And is there any excessive play in the endlink joints? They should be pretty rigid with the car on the ground but they can pop out and deteriorate.

if anyone is going to buy a helmet make sure you spend a couple extra bucks and get something SA 2005 rated and as light as you can afford, the lighter the better. it is your only head after all.
I wasn't going to run out right now for tires either way (I bought a paintball gun because ColonelDouche said he'd do that too... let's make sure this is a multi-season thing! ) but I figured I may as well have a plan.

As to the helmet, I just remembered a 95 being the minimum in the rulebook. I don't even know if you can still buy one with a 95 rating, most of what I looked at was way newer.

I have to get under the car and check on the bolts... The endlinks are tight. I was just about to sit down and eat last night when I figured this out, then i had to run an errand after dinner.

I need to check them... If def sounds like the same hard metal on metal thunk that I've been hearing. The first time I ever heard it was in a really tight and hard right hander in autox. So the swaybar would make the most sense.

Car isn't on the ground yet, still on jackstands. Still don't think it should have that much play in it.

I'm gonna call around in a few and see where I can get some new endlinks and bushings. Hopefully extremepsi will have everything, I could probably run down after work today if they do.
