Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
Well I took the EVO down to the Outer Banks this weekend and lost the ACD along the way (all 3 lights came on). Of course, I didn't have my manuals with me for this trip, but after an hour of searching I found how to pull the code (code 82 bad pump). Oddly, the pump still turns on when I turn on the ignition and push the gas pedal so it can't be bad. I bled the system really well (which wasn't even low on fluid) and it didn't change anything.
Turning off the ignition and back on will reset the system and it'll work for about 1/4 mile then disable itself again.
It was raining during most of the drive so I wonder if water getting on the pump/sensors is causing the issue. I'd hate to replace the pump if it's not bad.
Any ideas?

took advantage of the extra daylight and got a lot done on the evo to-do list today.
moved oil cooler forward so it no longer rubs @ full lock.
flushed driveline fluids. used redline MTL in the trans and HW shockproof in the TC & rear.
I took samples of the TC & trans. The TC fluid was still bright pink and there were no visable metal shavings on the drain plug.
changed oil to ams 0w-30 oil & oem filter
flushed coolant
installed new rotorpros rotors in rear w/new ds2500 pads
fresh ngk br7es gapped @ .028
finally put on the IX turbo w/ppi proted & coated 10.5 hotside
new gaskets for hot parts
installed JMF fmic
new bosch o2
still need to do before Sunday:
order front pads and install
flush brake/clutch fluid
boost leak test
put everything back together

. I need to go put together a boost leak tester one of these days. I probably have a few leaks.

What did you do to the interior now?
I would have loved to stay home today. Too bad the weather still sucks...
Pete, I bought a mint set of Evo 8 front and rear seats off a guy who rolled his car. Jim provided the hook-up.
Oh, for your Schroth harness, make sure you have something you could use to bend the tabs for the rear section of the harness. I used a large wrench and bent the tab about 45 degrees, and mounted it with the angle for the cutout on the bottom cushion. Fitted nicely. I had to call Marc to confirm the bending, and he did the same!

chu, your seat is awesome. like i said, i'd flip your car if you let me drive it with that seat.
i forgot to change the time on my alarm clock and my wife and i both woke up at like 6.
that meant i drove in an hour later. my commute was brutal....it took over 2 hours to get in today. it seems the later it get in the morning the more aimless people on the roads are.
