Local Pittsburgh meet part deux
In Selmer, Tennessee, a dragster went out of control and smashed into spectators during a fundraising festival in June 2007, killing six people and injuring 22. Driver Troy Critchley, 38, was convicted of misdemeanor reckless assault charges and sentenced to 18 months probation.
Just remember that when your driving around cones in a reckless way... an accident might happen and you would have to pay the price

it's very unfortunate when those things, without a doubt, but attending a sporting event has certain implied risks that you assume when you become a spectator at them. many places i have been asked to sign a waiver to be a spectator, informing me of the inherent risks.
it's the same as going to a hockey game. sometimes pucks leave the playing surface and people get hurt because of it. obviously not the severity of the event you have described, but everyone who walks in to the civic arena knows that if they're sitting close, there is a chance of something bad happening.
now if we draw the comparison across different types of racing i would argue drag racing is more dangerous (either strip of street) than autocross is. speeds are lower, so in the event of some kind of unforeseen event it's easier for the driver to get the car under control safely.
the course workers are the ones who are in the most immediate danger, spectators are separated by a good bit of distance, and in the case of north park a guard rail. i've almost been hit by a careless driver once or twice while ******** cones, it's something you need to constantly watch out for, but as for someone just watching they are in very little danger of bodily harm or death as long as they stay in the dedicated viewing areas.
of course this is absolutely not the case with street racing. people who may inadvertently become a spectator to that, or god forbid a victim, have no idea that they may be at risk. they're simply driving along a roadway, minding their own business. so your argument really fails on two levels.
at this point it's really fruitless to continue this. you're going to keep making illogical or nonsensical arguments, and they will continue to be refuted. so my advice would be to either come up with something legitimate or just let it go.
you should really have more sense than that, considering your main job (hobby).
it doesn't surprise me that you don't, but you should. in fact i think this would be the perfect spot for a responsible employee of beaver run to jump in and support my argument that the track is the place for testing the limits of your car, not the street.

You didn't take what I implied....
**** happens reguardless. Accidents will happen on tracks like the NSX roll and DESTROYED mustang at the track this yr.
Without question tracks are safer than street. If anyone here rides a bike then they know first hand how bad drivers are and how UNSAFE the street is for even responsible riding, let alone being an asshat.
Everyone takes risks, some more often and larger than others but everyone will pay for it at some point.
again, another non-sequitur.

Sick post bro, but unfortunately there were to many characters... I read the first sentence and the last and then hit reply.
My post was relevant whether you agree with it or not.. All I was saying is you are not safe from a butt plugging in jail regardless if you are at an event or on the street. So take it for what its worth, I was just saying accidents can result on or OFF the street.

had that been on the street instead of a formal event i guarantee the punishment would have been much worse.
you really should try actually reading my replies some time. it might be good for you.
generally i don't think that people get butt rapped while on probation, but i don't know i could be wrong.

are you still at that stage of immaturity where you think it's cool to be stupid, or do you legitimately have trouble reading?
Naa, i can read just fine... At times i can write too!
But the real issue is that the only thing that matters to me is what i say..
You can argue with me all day but you can never win... Even if you are right
So I'm glad to be in the 300hp club.....I like what I've done with it since I got it....and it has come along way..many of you have helped out and I appreciate all of the tips and help..
Jesus!
My few comments.
I like Dan(steelcity)- he pissed me off saying people won't say things in public. I did,and he accepted that. If he wants to street race that's his deal. I would be more impressed if he took that thing to the track and drove it like he can. But, either way it's his own deal.
As for Eric, your a scanmmer! Plane and simple. That's why I don't like you!
As for the turbo downgrade and wiping up on people. Umm, bring it on?
BTW, this EVO is sick! Not even in the realm of any of our cars.
