I'm not a huge fan of 3D myself. I bet games are pretty cool on it tho.

Anyone with a X have any SAWC issues this morning? It's the first time it's happened to me, but I got the warning and ASC automatically turned off. I restarted the car at the next redlight and it was fine after that. I figured it was the sharp drop in temperature that did it.

I've had that happen too, but not recently. I also thought temperature change brought it on. And, like you, when I restarted the car the warning was gone. There doesn't seen to be a lingering problems. I've been thinking that I'm about due to change all the fluids. Maybe that will take care of things????

Right after i first had been tuned, my torque/airflow limiters were not adjusted high enough. Thus i was hitting soft boost cut. With the colder air, you both are hitting higher load and running a little more air through it. Im willing to bet that is it. Check engine light afterwords? Probably would be P1235.

That's good to hear that nothing else happened. I know a huge number of guys in Canada have the same problem because of the below 0 temps, but I doubt that should affect us as severely. There was a whole 7 page thread on evoxforums about guys having to replace their sawc pumps in the colder climates. Something about how the pump cannot handle the viscosity of the fluid when temp reaches below 0. Mistu redesigned the pump for later models and warranty issues.

Believe it or not, I'm still virtually stock and still on the stock tune. I do have an intake though. I never got a CEL.

No CEL here either - and also pretty much stock. I just have a cat-back and intake.

I think the CEL only happens in an overboost situation. You guys are probably just seeing more air going through - especially with the intake. Im pretty sure its still hitting airflow triggers which isnt a huge deal.

This is not a for sale thread but I picked up a wrecked 2005 EVO 8 GSR SSL last night, pretty bad shape body and interior wise, perfect under the hood though. If any of you locals need anything I would like to take care of you before I go shipping stuff all over the place. The car is at my house and I will be working hard to get rid of it by Monday since I leave on Tuesday for AZ for a week. Brant, I will have your stuff off today and put aside whenever you want it.

Thanks Curt. Let me know a good time to stop down.
Out of curiosity, is any of the front seats in undamaged shape?

Not sure yet, passenger seat maybe, this car sheared a tree, a pole and ended up on a porch four years ago, pretty banged up!

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder if I was hitting fuel cut before the trap light went off or if I had already crossed, hit fuel cut, then saw the light. I wasn't looking at the speedometer, but I'll try to see where it is letting me rev to in 4th - I was told the rev limiter was set at 7800, which I think is too low and would be causing lower trap speeds. Who knows.

I think its 11.49 or better requires a roll bar and a fire suit, 10.99 requires a roll cage.

At PRP, I don't think they would care if you drove naked and drinking a beer. I wasn't wearing my helmet and they didn't say a word. As long as you're not driving a Mustang, you're pretty safe.
