On my way home from work yesterday on 376 (green tree hill) saw a wingless red VIII being flatbedded heading west in opposite direction..

Not sure if someone here owned this but all I have to say is "thank you" to the previous owner! This has to be one of the cleanest used cars I have ever seen...100% stock, completely unmolested, may 1 or 2 paint chips...really in amazing condition with only 27K on the clock....crossing fingers that this '08 carries the 10/100K drivetrain warranty...Mike is going to check on Tuesday...

This will be the wife's DD (therefore the MR was the only option) but will still see track time when I'm instructing at Flat Out Day's at PIR (BeaveRun) and some HPDE's until I figure out what I'm going to race next year...

No mods for the foreseeable future (laughs at self)

 

Congrats on the purchase! It should still have the 10/100 warranty. When I bought my car used it transferred to me.

 

That would be great Did all '08's have the 10/100k? Not sure when Mitsu switched to 5/60k...might have been the '10 model year

 

2008's had the 5 year 60000 mile powertrain warranty unfortunately. At least my first x did. Second owners only got a portion of the remainder. I don't remember specifics. But if it's certified pre-owned, I think you retain the regular warranty. Im sure some Dealers can hook you up too if they're cool. I didn't think any x's had a 10/100000 warranty. I don't think my 2011 does either.

 

Before I bought my 08 from the first owner I called Baierl, gave them my VIN & they confirmed that a 10/100 warranty would transfer to me. They said that the only warranty that wouldn't was the paint (go figure). Who knows with Mitsu's warranty...... I mean do they even exist in the first pace?

 

Well, worst case is that there will still be about 11 months left on the 5-year/60k based on the car's in-service date which isn't too bad...my first '08 X GSR had the 10/100 IIRC
